Because - amongst the approximately 10,000,000,000 sentences he has spoken in his life, he made a JOKE to Tim Henman about footy about 48 years ago, and some unbelievably precious/thick people have held onto it as a sign that Murray (English wife, English coaching team, lives in England) hates England.
That's why. He's a ****ing brilliant tennis player.

Murray bossed that final. Totally tore Raonic's game apart, piece by piece, dissected his big serve like a surgeon with a sharp blade. The only thing I felt he could have done a little more of was mixing up his lobs; at one point Raonic was coming to the net about 75% of the time, but obviously he (correctly) felt he didn't need to incorporate the lob too much.
Long live the king of Wimbledon, hopefully with Lendl back on board he can grab another 3-5 GSs in the next few years.

That's a fair point but consider that Raonic absolutely blew everyone away with it and Murray was able to make it look quite average, so I don't think so. He patted back a 147mph serve like it was nothing.

I can't now remember what happened in the tie breaks - I remember the score, but was it simply Murray choosing to wait until then to batter his serve, or did the pressure get to Raonic?
