Because he doesn't rate LR at left back...see numerous posts and threads re left back position....Bong bench at best on current form IMHO

That is wrong. I believe that Bong is our best left back and Rosenior offers us more in other positions. He is a more than adequate cover in a number of positions including both full back and wide midfield.

Nope it's not wrong...it's opinion...just happens to differ with yours...but let's face it you do have a bit of a blind spot re LR's ability to play LB...in my opinion!

The answer is that Bong will return (when 100% again) and Rosenior will drop to the bench, the reason being that Rosenior can cover a variety of positions so it allows Hughton to put another attacking player on the bench.

Rosenior would always be in my 11. Wouldn't always have to be LB but he would definitely be in the team.

We certainly missed Bong when he was injured but we didn't lose matches. We really went downhill when Rosenior was crocked.

Look how things changed, when he came on against Cardiff. If Bong comes back as LB, I guess Rosenior could be RB but that would mean dropping Bruno, who has had a very good season. Difficult one for CH but I would start with Rosenior.

Nice problem to have as there both excellent, leave it to Hughton I say he normally gets it right it seems. If anything if he does play Bong sometime soon it might not be a bad idea to play him with Lua Lua, as they had a great understanding between each other in the early part of the season. But saying that how can you leave Murphy out ?. SUCH LOVELY PROBLEMS, I must pinch myself.😀😀😀😀

Can see this happening next season with bruno as backup.

Tbh, I think a lot of us thought that this would happen this year. Could still happen this year, of course - it's easy to forget when you see how fit he is that Bruno is of the same generation as Calde, Bobby and Greer - and he's played 90 minutes of almost every match, so he might need a break when Bong is ready to return.

Quite strange really, some were shouting for us to sign a LB on loan when Ridgewell went back, now we have the luxury to debate who should play LB.

I love Rosenior and you can see the energy and ambition he brings to the team. It would be incredibly difficult to drop him now, but i can see him used wide right against the more tricky opposition, so that does sort of mean bringing Bong back, with his mean muscularity, at some point. That mightn't be easy at this stage of the season, but we need to find a way. To have the possible choice of either there is a joy.

I think the way he won the penalty yesterday served as a reminder that he's more than capable of operating as a winger. I'm sure that time will come again in a tricky away fixture.

Bong is a superb left back and Rosenior can move to right back. If everyone is fit then Rosenior is still on the pitch

I think we should play TWO left backs for a few games (you can't have too many LBs after all.......) to make up for the games we had to play without a (proper) left back.
