A little early.

After the Leeds game is the very earliest at least 1 team can't catch us.

Just worked this out in my lunch break
Column X is the average so far this season applied over the rest of the season
Column Y is the difference between X and current form prediction

Must be time for the traditional 'Teams That Can't Catch Us' thread shirley?

I love this thread and was actually chatting at work about it only yesterday.

I think the earliest this thread can be launched is on Tuesday even, subject to us beating Cardiff and Bristol and Bolton loosing to QPR and Birmingham.

Even then it should really have to wait for the next game, because Bolton would still be able to topple us on goal difference (minimum 36 goals to make up)

An excellent use of lunch there.... Please can you calculate form based on the last 5 games instead of 10....!? I think 10 is too many.

Ten games is a long period to use for form, I'd rather use five :)

I will admit, in past seasons when I have done it, usually use 6 games for form

Was just biding my time.

Taking into account the new signings settling in, I would have thought we would be on course for form similar to Yoda's v2 but as already mentioned in previous posts this league is so unpredictable.

There must be someone who is a GEEK and has time on their hands to put in the remaining fixtures for the top 8/9 clubs so that we can have a PREDICTOR table which determines if we go up/make the playoffs/have a whip round for a #BarberOut banner for the North Stand etc?

There's one here http://www.worldfootball.net/table_calculator/eng-championship/ - takes a bit of inputting, but it works...

Predicting these things are impossible, BUT it would be interesting to see where we'd finish if we could input results with the following rules:

Home to a team below you, 3 points
Away to a team below you, 1 point
Home to a team above you, 1 point
Away to a team above you, 0 points

Obviously, that would need to take into account a "rolling" league table, where the table changes week on week adhering to the rules above.

Is there anyone geeky enough? If not, perhaps I'll do it this evening...
