All this talk of a national anthem for England got me thinking about the need for a song for our glorious institution which is the EU.

So my fellow Europeans, what do you reckon?

Poll to follow.

Think you should forget this until the referendum.

I would never sing an EU anthem, let alone calling it National.
Best one that springs to mind and suits is. What A Fool Believes - Doobie Brothers.

A national anthem is a tune / song for a NATION. Much as the bullying and corrupt EU thinks it is a nation is isn't and so can't have a national anthem. That said I guess if the EU needs one it should be 'Time to Leave' by Dana.

shirley the real answer is to have a rolling anthem, changing each year, decided by the people of Europe. could make a contest out of it, on TV and phone voting, with all the nations putting forward their nomination for the next anthem.

And we could call the competition the Eurovision Song Contest :)
