It was a shame that Tony was only in his early twenties and had not made his fortune when we had to sell our ground to pay off all our debts. But at least we had a ground to sell, which enabled us to avoid the embarrassment of paying the debts off at a penny in the pound, even if it meant years of struggle to recover.

At a guess, I think Tony Blooms Uncle and Grandfather who were previously on the board, not as owners or Chairmen, possible did not have finances available themselves to pay off the club debts. Much like Prince Charming and the fab four haven't got the financial clout to pay for all the cladding required for Selhurst, so they are about to sell the clubs soul to the Americans to pay for the new toilets.

What aren't you counting? Some of the Palace who come on here are quite funny and can give and take without wetting themselves but unfortunately you are not one of them.

Neil, thanks for your post, you are wrong though, I can take it, but some of the abuse put out by some of your fellow fans is vile and like I said deserves a response. Really you think I would worry, I just think some of you let yourself down, and try an get Palace fans banned by literally crying like babies to a mod, which to be honest is quite sad.
For your info I was amazed at the amount of posts some people have posted, one individual over 32,000. And trying to think why so many,I have my own thoughts but I'll keep them to myself.
Re Bloom I think he has been great for your club, without him you would have died, like us you should feel very lucky someone has that amount of passion for your club to not let it die.
