Bloody brilliant. Glad this thread has been covered in the glory of intellect :)

I actually thought the "chimp" remark was amusing.

I'm actually surprised symyjym got into one of these spats again considering he was hung out to dry by Looney not so long ago. I suppose some people can't help themselves.

I thought both comments were funny, classic school boy stuff

Zürich are currently 1-1 away at FC Basel. They I'm watching and they look very solid and compact and breaking well. No fullbacks on the halfway line so far.

Maybe after a disastrous run of losses at Leverkusen and sending Brighton plummeting to the bottom of the table he's learnt his tactics needed rethinking

Maybe he is just so ineffectual as a manager that he has no bearing whatsoever on his team's performance and they just sort it out among themselves in real-time. Bit like at a large number of other clubs really. Footballers in general aren't all that bright and ex-footballer managers aren't all that much brighter either:shrug:

Not the real one
Finishing 3-1 to Basel. Although I'm not sure how much influence SH had. He sat in a Box watching the game before he officially takes over. So unless he has learnt from his failings Zürich have a long hard season ahead.

I wish Sami well.

We are VERY fortunate that he is a man of honour & integrity and walked away when he did - whilst the club were trying to persuade him to stay.

Having said that, Hughton's record last season was only very marginally better. Hughton got lucky that there were teams that were even more appalling than us.

That may be true but ''marginally'' was the difference between relegation and non relegation and CH did not put last year's squad together. It is very early days but there is no comparison in both managers whatsoever. Sami is a nice guy but he got the job at Brighton too early in his career

Hughton will have had one task and one only. Keep them up. He did it. If he would have without Kayal almost deserves a thread of its own and, with Burke gone and Hemed arriving early in this window, I think we all know who made that signing.....

Your suggestion that I am pro Sami is incorrect..................I am the biggest pro Hughton Fan on this board

Hyypia was probably the most unispiring Brighton manager, from a fan perspective, since I started watching the Albion. Don't envy any club that has him in charge. His pre and post match interviews were a cure for insomnia.
