Decided to go to Basingstoke today, top away day.
Well done to Whitehawk :clap2: nice to see plenty of fans who made the effort.

Final next week at Boreham Wood, I think we are meeting at Brighton station at 10.30 to catch the 11.08 train. Change at Blackfriars. If anyone is interested in going.

Not sure about the Blackfriars change, anyway it's a Thameslink that departs Brighton at 11.08.

Trains go from St Pancras. I'm hugely tempted. They are my nearest non-league outfit.

Usually there are 4 teams in play offs. That might be the teams finishing 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th.
It COULD be argued that it is not 100% fair that a team finishing say 6th can get promoted through the play offs and the teams above them in the league finishing say 3rd, 4th, 5th don't. That's 'COULD'!
Not having 2 legs for the semis and for the final MIGHT be logistically beneficial e.g. due to tight time schedules.
Also, giving the home advantage to the higher respective teams can off set some of the POSSIBLY perceived unfairness of the play off system.
That is in the minds of those that run these leagues when they make the rules.
It's quite a simple concept. If you are not bright enough to understand it that is fine but don't diss the comments of someone trying to explain the logic behind the rules to you.

As I have said I am totally against the play off in their present format, although I understand the rule makers thinking. Why should teams finishing 5th and 6th earn money from the ties and play offs and the automatics not earn it. If they feel the need for play offs to my way of thinking it should be 3rd bottom againt 3rd top in the lower divsion in 2 leg final to determine who plays in the top division.

Good luck to Whitehawk, I know I now live in Eastbourne but am a whitehawk boy through and through.
I used to mange couple of the whitehawk boys teams and a regular over at the enclosed ground.
I bet George Gunn will be sending down inspiration from above, top bloke, him and his wife Jean who also ran the valley social club in whitehawk were a top couple, in fact it was George's love of Arsenal which inspired the kit of the day.
Come on you Hawks, I will be supporting you from Spain next week and be back for the final of the SSC on 16 May at the Amex.

ENTRANCE PRICES ARE SET AS FOLLOWS:

Apologies to the away supporters but our Club bar on Saturday, will be available to HOME supporters only..

To our home supporters we hope you agree, that the Players have done so well to have reached the Play-Off Final and can rightfully expect the Town to get fully behind them, raise the roof and help us to create our own history by winning the Conference South Play-Off Final and going into the Conference National for the very first time..

Ensure as a BWFC supporter you can say in twenty years’ time that you were there, when we talk about the day that little Boreham Wood Football Club got promoted to The Conference National.

Please tell your friends and family, that It’s time for the Town to really get behind the club and only by doing this can you ensure that we have the type of home support that the players deserve.

Help us to a create cracking atmosphere. It’s your Town, it’s your club and it now needs a full house!!!
COME ON THE WOOD

:moo: Looks like Boreham Woodies are up for this! What about the hawks fans, how many going????

Well Boreham Wood its a team of Acadamy players with a nice ground with wonderful playing surface paid for by Arsenal FC whilst Whitehawk's Enclosed ground is built on a tip with a massive slope and scaffolding stands with restricted parking.
So its the Acadamy team against the Skip firm supervisors.
Hope Whitehawk do go up because they will be a laughingstock :D
