McClaren - No quality in our goals...

I said this on the other thread, but he should worry about his defence conceding such 'poor quality goals'.

I actually interpreted it more that the no quality in our goals was more down to their poor defending than anything else - it seemed he was annoyed at his defence's sloppy play in not clearing the ball from the throw in.

Still, we all know that Schteve is a bit of a tool.

Really is nothing more tedious than our own fans getting all indignant any time an opposing fan/player/manager says something they don't like for no particular reason after a game.

Out of 24 posts on this thread, I can only interpret one as showing indignation. I read it as though we're laughing at his attempts to explain the defeat.

Then have another read. Rather than realising that any manager in the game is going to give these interviews from their own perspective with relation to goings on at their own club rather than spending the time to get their tongue nice and deep into our collective ********. You get a string of people saying he 'lacks respect' and generally abusing him for giving a perfectly reasonable interview. It's pathetic. Playground stuff.

Only to those who have a playground mentality.

I think he's being "abused" because the things he's saying aren't just disrespectful but they're also false. It just lacks class. 99% of managers wouldn't have had anything like that reaction.

WHAT A TIT. Ok, so they created more chances and were arguably the better team overall, but we scored twice whereas they couldnt score at all... So give us a little credit. Sour grapes.

I didn't see David Stockdale waiting to get beat last night Shteve, you ruddy-faced tw4t!

That interview was less about us and more about him feeling the pressure of losing to us and Fulham while Boro and Watford both won on the night.

Part of what he said was true. Part of what he said was just ''sour grapes''. he is feeling the pressure of a lot of clubs now hovering around them and i think he probably thought that Derby and Middlesbrough were the best sides in the league and would take the top 2 promotion spots. He now sees norwich now level with them and he knows that they have the most expensively assembled squad in this division se he now feels the pressure.

All that said. He can huff and puff till his little red cheeks blow up but we scored the goals. We took the points and his problem is of no concern to me because he couldnt give a shite about me so I care even less about him

Getting a bit big for his boots I think, he's starting to think the sun shines out of his arse. Very much a case of a big fish in a small pond. Thinks he's better than this league because he's managed England and had some success in The Netherlands. You can see this in the interview and also the fact he sits in the directors box to watch most of the match; even when he did come down to the touchline he spent half the time in Hughton's technical area, chuckling whenever he was told to return to his own.

The first one maybe but the second one? Totally laughed at our goals. Bit of a tit really. Lacking respect. We put the ball into the net which they couldn't.

Agreed and from listening to him he was on his way down when we scored again so maybe didn't even see it.

I have lost a lot of respect for him because of these comments.
