The thing is, there are two different ways of looking at this.

What do we need? I imagine the general concensus is some experience, therefore meaning hiring Jones at this time would not be the most sensible choice to us.

However, for people to claim, as a FACT that he WOULD be useless is ridiculous. He has had 135 minutes as a manager in the championship.

Thing is, on here, people can't have sensible balanced reasoning. It needs to be difinitive statements based on NO factual evidence.

Not that i m in the NJ camp im very much on the bench but 135mins is 135mins more than our last 3 managers had ?

He is just an extension of SH and his ideas so the 2 points, if we get a draw this evening, could be a false dawn and draws will get us relegated. We need a manager t go for wins, win a game then lose a game is better than 2 draws,

I've always supported Jones at the Albion, a legend for me on the pitch regardless of the later Adams bust up. Win, lose or draw tonight perhaps he needs to be given the opportunity?!? Doubtless there exist many reasons why not, but from the candidates seemingly in the mix, he is certainly the most 'invested' in the club that we all purport to love.

I wish him luck.

He's plenty young enough to be a future manager if he's good enough. Perhaps the next one after this.

And in true Albion style he'll be long gone by then, managing either Palace or Southampton to a top half Premiership finish while we look on enviously from a distance...possibly.

Not bad but if we were mid table now, the play offs would be a possibility. Would you trust NJ to get us there?

True, but if we didnt make the play offs it wouldn't be disastrous but relegation would be.

But yeah get your point if we were mid table and Jones got the job we would all be complaining the board have no ambition

Would be a romantic fairy tale if Nj turned this around. As much as I like him, we need more than fairytales right now...

Was he not responsible for the retained list at the end of last season. Do I recall Burke and him deciding on who we keep. I agree that he could make a good manager one day, but needs more experience as a number 2 before stepping up

simple reason : not experienced enough.

We are in the last chance saloon, not the time for a rookie.
