Grill some Spam, chuck it in a sandwhich (white bread obviously), add sauce of choice & maybe some grated cheese & hangover will soon be gone

I recall an ex of mine, from Bolton saying to a friend as they ordered wholegrain bread in a café.."What! Don't be a poof, eat white bread".

Ahh, Gran's. Love 'em. I always associate those cod in parsley things with Grans living in flats for some reason.

There's a joke to e had there about things smelling fishy but I'm buggered if I'm going to make it !

Rustlers burger with a Stella chaser - I'd hasten to add I've never gone down this sorry route myself but to my shame my step-son is a chav and I've been witness to this being consumed as an evening meal.

I remember getting some of those microwaveable chips a few years back. The packet was sort of made out of honeycombe tubes with one chip inside each tube. Once they were "cooked" I tipped them onto the plate to expose, count them, 13 tiny, short, thin "chips". Delicious.

Still better value than the chips at the Amex.

Does anyone remember that little fish & chip shop next to the Hove Park Tavern? Many many times during our Goldstone days, (oh ok then every time), after drinking next door, l'd go in there before the match for double spam friiter and chips.

Wonderfully succulent they were, with the grease just oozing out. I'd often pay a return visit after the match too!

Long gone now, as has the Goldstone of course.

The only redeeming feature of the whole sordid affair was that it was a small bottle of Stella and not a can!

I used to live off Buckingham Road and got into the rather pikey habit of going to Sing Lee's for 2 saveloy and half chips for nearly every weekend meal for about 2 months. I can't even look at a saveloy now. Not been into Sing Lee's for years. Salty Finger?
