A thought which comes to mind when reading your posts.
Its called a balanced discussion. Do you have a problem with that?

The same could be said of people who use drugs to get out of their heads, or even just high, couldn't it?
Humans have sought to use mind altering drugs for thousands of years, originally there was spiritual, ne religious reasons for doing it.
Now it often seems to be nihilistic, the most vulnerable and/or poorest people, taking drugs to escape, destroying their lives by habitually using drugs, becoming addicted, and progressively degenerating, is that not Darwinism of a fashion?
True, but there is a simple solution to this. Legalise them, make them safe.
so by legalising Heroin it will make it safe to take ?
How is your initial argument even remotely balanced?
It balances`the bleeding hearts brigade.
Doing that a few thousand years ago is going to take you out of the gene pool pretty fast. There wasn't much in the way of NHS or charity agencies to help.
Oh, bleeding hearts, how very caring.
Why does one have to be a bleeding heart to empathise that some may end up on drugs through very little fault of their own?
Even if someone 'chooses' to become hooked, why should society go ahead and let them kill themselves?
You don't have to be religious to love thy neighbour.
If by safe, you mean non-lethal, yes. The risk of death, like most illegal drugs, mostly come from impurities and unknown potencies.
It should be legalised but heavily regulated, so it is only prescribed to heroin addicts seeking help.
If they have no respect for their own bodies or safety then why should I?
Not sure if it helps either way, there is no safe place or method to take illegal drugs without risk.Best to avoid.
7 bags of cheap crisps from the market during the munchies. How quick we forget oh pure one.
That was the only way I'd ever eat them, god were they awful, it was either eat them or the kitchen lino .

Why bother stopping people who want to take the risk of killing themselves with drugs.
