5 million for LB, bite their hand off TB.....Buckley included in that price, tell GP to get lost...Maybe the medical team know WB is always gonna be a crock but if so why sign him until 2017, 6M for both will do nicely

Irritating how many say we can't sell as we need our best players for prem and that is worth squillions. The fact is that three clubs will get promoted this season. Yes we may be one of them and with Liam our chance will be better but.....it is important the club is run in a sensible way. So many club as chase the dream and if it fails they are in deep trouble. Look at pompy and leeds. Leeds worked on the basis of champs league every year, missed out once and are stuffed.

We nearly went bust many times in the last 20 years. Does anyone really think getting into the premier league this season is more important than the long term future of the club.

Look at other clubs like Bolton, boro etc. they are in real trouble. We don't want or need that.

Political agenda with sport? Not really, but I'd love to see the % of actual transfers to completely made up nonsense in the mail (before they delete the pages).

I accept that all news journalists write articles, for their target readers, based on editorial guidelines, sensationalised and politicised or not. I just don't think this applies to sports journalists. There are no hidden agendas there, nor should there be.

Interesting to see how many people are actually accepting of this potential deal as opposed to the same time last year, when losing Bridcutt would have seemed catastrophic & NSC would have been in meltdown at the mere prospect.

I, like seemingly many others, think we could live with it, for a reasonable fee. It's quite nice not to feel our entire season depends on one man.

Probably because a year ago our only other solid DM/CM was Hammond, a loanee. We now have about 63 of 'em.

I feel the same way. I'd be gutted to lose our best players for pittance, but if we get a good fee, and it secures our future for a few more seasons so be it. I'm happy with top end Championship, and while getting to the Premiership would be unbelievable, I wouldn't gamble our long term stability on it by buying players we can't afford.

Yep. And some decent ones amongst them. As for Buckley? He's a great player on his day, but he's been largely dire this season. Shame he got injured after what was, by all accounts, a decent performance at Blackpool, but that does seem to be the way with him. If we could sufficiently mug Sunderland off for him, then take the money and run.

I'm not saying I don't rate Buckley but I actually think he was quite lucky in our debut Amex season. EVERYTHING went for him. He's never been quite the same since that season.

I'm not saying there are hidden agendas. I don't know where you got the political argument from me. The amount of shit they make up regarding transfers has nothing to do with their awful political stance.

There seems to be varying opinions on what represents a good fee for either Bridcutt or Buckley. FWIW I think £3m for Bridcutt and £1..5m for Buckley would represent great and sound business sense.

I rate Buckley when he's fit and on-form, but that's rare.

Will Buckley will always be an Amex hero just for scoring those goals that won us our opening day fixture. That was a must win if ever there has been!

But, as has been alluded too Will has been very inconsistent and if we can get £1million for him at least then I think that will represent good business. :)
