Is the White Hart a good pub? I have lived here 12 years now and used to visit Newhaven before that, but I have never been in the pub, or the pub in South road.

Its ok its clean serve beer and shows the football so ticks the boxes for me
Prince of Wales in south road is good too for queit pint and once you regular not
bad for lock ins

The only good thing to ever come out of Newhaven was a band called The National GAME with it's legendary frontman Ian Marchant, Albion fan, author, board man and Bon viveur...

the landlord was from pompey and alan biley lived there briefly when he signed for us
he was spotted in kennedys the bookmakers now & again that was next door to the ship

I already prefer Newhaven to Worthing. Not sure why, presumably because it's in East East East Sussex.

Healthwise, there's another big plus side to living in Newhaven, rather than Worthing, in that you have a choice of hospitals. Depending on the time of day or night, you can use A&E at either Eastbourne or Brighton.
I have nothing against Worthing but I would rather live in this part of Sussex, another big plus is the time it takes to get to the AMEX, I got the 2.35 pm train from Newhaven Town yesterday and still made it to the stadium before kick off.
