I wonder if anyone has checked the shareholders agreement. Some agreements have restrictions on who you can sell to or who you have to offer the shares to first, this could run and run!

So, at £1 per share, the company is worth £650m? A company which is losing £8m p.a.
They might be worth 10p. Sounds like a scam to me.

I don't whether it has been mentioned on here already but Dick Knight will be interviewed tomorrow afternoon on Talksport between 1pm and 4pm regarding his book and selling his shares.

Would all those nay sayers buy shares if the club was offering them for sale - either as new issue or existing holder's shares?

That really is the bottom line when deciding whether or not to buy - the motives, whether they be good or bad, of the seller is irrelevant.

On a personal basis I believe that fan ownership, be it large or small, is good for the club.

For a large amount of shares - yes. 1% makes absolutely no difference as it wont affect the controlling stake - so even if you bought shares - TB could still do what he likes and you will pretty much get no say in what happens.

In essence - its £1 for a bit of paper.

These shares are effectively worthless. You're getting a share of Dick Knights very low share of <2%! But it's nice to say "I own part of my club" :D

But you have to start somewhere - yes it's only ~1% but that's 1% more than previously and does set a precedent - it may prompt some of the smaller shareholders to offload their shares as well to recover their investment.

£1 Million for 1% of a company ?!?! On that basis, BHAFC is worth £100 Million + !!

Ridiculous - Im Out.

Each share has a notional £1 value. For some , owning a share in their football club is priceless.

Maybe at over-inflate rates, yes.

1% of BHAFC certainly isnt worth £1 Million.....yet anyway.

Which then leads the question about just how charitable a move is this from DK?

Who would buy them though, apart from the insane and those who simply want to stick a certificate on their wall?

No disrespect, I could impersonate a shareholder of say Arsenal and say im selling my 1 Million shares in Arsenal for £5 each. For that you are getting absolutely no say in how the club is run and nothing in return except a piece of paper that people would be none the wiser for.

You would be better off quite frankly giving the money to a charity.

Besides, we are owned by a fan now - and im very sure TB wouldnt do anything to screw the club over - especially after what he has invested in it and with what we are doing now to make the club sustainable and profitable

This.

It isnt, I mean there is a SLIGHT message - but there isnt a sole shareholder in BHAFC and Dick is making it sound like the only shareholders are him and TB - which certainly isnt the case.
