He misplaced one pass all night in a game where Bruno and Andrews gave it away for fun. No one got on their backs but as soon as he made that one mistake there was a huge shout of "oh F*** OFF BARNES". I'm not his greatest fan or his greatest critic but he was excellent tonight, a real team performance and he gave everything.

at least 6 in the 2nd half alone, not the only one either, our passing has gone backwards

Along with Watford we have the highest pass completion rate in the Championship. And that's not because we tap the ball about endlessly at the back any more. With fast one-touch passing, some are bound to go astray - especially this early in Oscar's tenure.

Yes he worked hard, mainly with little success, but wasn't he playing as a striker for at least thirds of the game? Perhaps someone could explain what the main role of a striker is- I always thought it was something to do with scoring goals!

He had a great game tonight

Even the people near me who moan about him (unjustly imo) every game seemed impressed by his performance tonight and instead of the usual you're sh@t Barnes type comments you get from them, they were saying things like "come on, give him a chance" when a ball was played up front and impossible for Barnes to win (but he still tried as usual) rather than them blaming Barnes for not getting to it first which was refreshing to hear.

Anyone would struggle to do that if isolated and outnumbered when playing up front on your own with little or no support centrally from another forward or from midfielders joining in with the play regardless of how good they are.

Strikers can add far more to a team than just goals (hopefully you will see this when you watch performances like Barnes effort tonight)

Geriatric Seagull is just trolling, I think his name gives it away or he really is a geriatric.

Yep only Buckley could have taken MOM away from him, very close either way.

Buckley was wasteful, a liability tracking back. Such a frustrating player. How he got mom is beyond me.

Barnes tried but is just not a target man. Played much better when lita came on.

Well played Ash. Improving all the time. Can we see him in a 2 with Lita please?
