I get that as well as e mails and god knows what else. Suppose they want you to tell people that are not.

Yes actually. Withdean for all of its faults, which it had many, the view from the south stand was actually pretty good. The tickets that are available currently on the site are for the very front of the East Stand and next to the away fans. Why would I want to sit there when there are likely empty seats in a much better position available?

Excellent point. There are plenty of seats in The Amex that I would not be happy with at £30+ ... if it was the last seat in the house for a sold out game then I'd be happy to have it but not when there are so many better options that should be available.

I would imagine seeing as they have a friends and family policy if you have added names to this when you purchased your season ticket they do it because of this ?
I don't remember paying well north of £30 at Priestfield. It was £8 on the gate for a decent view behind the goal.
Quite. When it was dry, I reckon I had one of the best seats in football. Good height and right on the halfway line.

Row AA in N1C is completely empty are these not season ticket holders. Considering buying one ticket for there for a mate and move up there and just stand there all together

Its a different issue, but life would be much easier for many of us if they lifted the pay on the gate restrictions. The transport issues are pretty well sorted now (with the odd hiccup excepted) which I believe was a sticking point for Potg, I think the club could get these restrictions relaxed.

Indeed. Marketing the option of collecting tickets at the ground means that those people won't have the opportunity to use the subsidised travel scheme - but this is obviously NOT creating travel chaos (which is the fear that led to the "no pay on the gate" rule).

Given his response on why (and if) match day tickets were being held back, then I'm not sure it's worth the effort

But this is nothing new is . Our match by match ticket sales are crap in both numbers, mainly because of price, but also in organisation.
This week, someone who hasn't been to the Amex phoned up to buy 4 seats.
They hadn't got a purchase history, so were told they couldn't buy tickets.
How does a new fan/customer get a purchase history if they aren't on the database?

There's little point in the Queens Road shop now they've stopped ticket sales. Quite a few used to use it plus it has a lot of window space to advertise matches.
Was a very poor show, especially during the pre-season and LC game when cheap prices were not advertised, or available, to a City teaming with foreign tourists and kids on hols.

I really don't get why, with the exception of the sterile areas between the away fans, the rest of the seats in the stadium aren't released at the same time.

They need to go to a game that doesn't require a purchase history , normally one where the away support will be small and there are no policing issues. Another way to get on the database is buying tickets for a pre-season friendly.
That just doesn't stack up given it seems anyone can rock up at the Amex tomorrow and buy a ticket in the Forest end.
