Some good news coming out of Scotland

So you are against judgement being made on you by other posters on NSC based on your opinions. Yet you are in favour of convicted murderers making judgements on what punishments are acceptable for fellow convicted criminals?

Bingo.

I am new to this community, people's opinions will differ of course, but to be patronised and mocked with a fake accent is snidey IMO

I don't care who served him up, I'm just glad he had serious fear flowing through his veins

And i'm sure the lovely chaps who did this to him on behalf of our nation are fine upstanding citizens themselves.

God bless 'em for their brave act.

I reckon you are one of the most predictable users on this board in terms of the tone and style of your posts! I imagine you are the guy in the office who, when you disagree with someone's opinion, you wait till they are either a) out of ear-shot before making a sarcastic/mocking comment to a friend, or b) make a sarcastic/mocking comment that is sufficiently subtle enough (and in the right situation) not to make the person react, though still amuses yourself and probably a friend again. A bit like a Tim-lite from The Office.

I hope this causes you no offence. :)

Note: I haven't chosen this thread to post this for any particular reason.

It was a shocking crime, but no more shocking than any other murder of a child. Believe this thread is motivated by something else.
More shocking than Soham murders? More shocking than local Russel Bishop? What makes it the most shocking crime of the century? Genuine question. Theres been some horrific murders over the last few years, including somebody being beheaded. So dont understand what makes it the most shocking crime of the century?

You're pretty much spot on. No offence taken.

Though I've never put a stapler in jelly. That's an aim.

People are forgetting that there's differnt standards when it comes to CRIMS. It's a bit like the good AIDS and bad AIDS theory.

Bad crims are nonces, child killers, rapists, granny killers, people who abuse animals and mentally ill psychopaths.

Good crims are salt of the earth honest to goodness wideboy types like bank robbers, east end gangsters, car theives etc. Murderers a sometimes ok as long as they only murdered other crims, OB or security guards.

If a good crim does a bad crim in prison you're allowed to feel good about it, it's the rules

Best get used to it. If you are going to take real offence at being mocked or patronised, you are in for an uncomfortable ride, I'm afraid.

For the record, I don't really think you've been subjected to either, on this thread.

The Scots should stick to battering Mars Bars

Free the innocent Mars bars! I always feel mars Bars have had an unfairly rough ride since Marianne Faithful and Mick Jagger are reported to have done salacious things with them all those years ago. Leave the Mars bars Alone.

Really???!!!! I can honestly say that neither me nor anyone I know has ever done anything to the extent that someone would want to lynch me or them!! Very low view of people you have.

I believe the inference is that if we all start to commit vigilante justice ourselves and encourage it then eventually it will have escalated until we are beating the shit out of people just for cutting us up on the road and then further until we are meting out justice just for someone looking at us wrongly.

Oh! I have just described living in Scotland.
