Pahars wasn't who I was thinking of but he was great none the less....

I'm sure this particular player was another NORWEGIAN....although I might just be thinking of Jo Tessem again...

98/99 they had Ostenstad up front with Stig Johanson*

*for about three games, on account of him being shit.

By the way, who was Southampton boss when they were signing these flairniacs and thrashing Man Utd 6-3? It can't have been Branfoot or Alan Ball could it?

Stefan Schwarz.

You'll have to excuse me for the Arsenal list. My uncle took me to Highbury to watch the Gunners regularly during the 90's.

That's another good call.

And David Hillier!

OK, not exactly good, but it amazes me that Jimmy Carter got to play for both Liverpool and Arsenal in the 1990s.

Yeah, its amazing how the likes of Hillier and Carter got a top flight game in those days. They certainly wouldn't now.

Everton had Robert Warzycha and Preki in the 1990s. Cult heroes at the time, and really good players, but I doubt many have heard of either of them since.

Nice chap.

I met him when I was working on the Swedish version of the TV show Superstars. I explained to him that I needed to get my company's branding on screen where I could, so he immediately asked if he could borrow my (branded) jacket, then went off and did about five TV interviews wearing it, earning me a slap on the back, and a tidy little bonus. Cheers Anders.

Tomas Brolin
Martin Dahlin

Brolin and Dahlin were both also participants in that same series of Superstars. Neither were freindly like Limpar, though.

Dahlin had a bit of attitude about him, and Brolin was lazy and FAT.

Interesting that no one has mentioned any of the Blackburn side of the mid-1990s. Apart from
Flowers, Hendry, Shearer and Sutton, they were all very average players...

Edit: Ripley now has a mention!

Brolin was too busy eating a jumbo sized hotdog to speak to you :lolol:

Sounds like an interesting experience.
