Buckley was crap, didn't look like he wanted to play, no balls. Spanish dave was useless too. Greer was poor again but ince looked solid replacement for bridcupp who will be off by Monday unfortunately

Lua lua looked like the only fella who wanted it today, was woeful stuff, croft may as well not put his boots on, Orlandi needs to play, and Spanish Dave needs to have a good look at himself with Buckley in the mirror, neither turned up again, no bottle

Kuszczak 7 Didn't have to do much
Calderon 5 Didn't get forward as much as usual, went missing for their goal
Upson 7 Good solid game
Greer 6 Some wayward passing
Ward 7 Got left by their winger once but coped after that, didn't get forward much
Ince 6 Not as effective as last week but some nice touches
Crofts 7.5 Seemed to be everywhere today, tried to make things happen
Agustien 5 Couple of nice touches but doesn't look fully fit to me
Lopez 4 One great ball to Buckley but poor after that
Buckley 3 An absolute shocker
Ulloa 7 Good goal and unlucky with the disallowed one but too easily shoved off the ball

Subs
Orlandi 8 Only on for 45 minutes but my MoM, really made things happen
LuaLua 7 Made a big difference to us, although does go down a bit too easily
Andrews 7 First time I've seen him and was impressed. Was involved straight away

Those that stood out:

Ward - 3 Didn't look great defensively, and fluffed chances to put in crosses when overlapping. He's better than this surely?

Ince - 6 I was quite impressed with his DM work - he's very string in the tackle. Would've been 7 but for some bad long shots when better options were available.

Orlandi - 8 made us looks lively in the 2nd half.

KLL - 9 Instant impact. All of our chances came after he came on.

Ulloa 9 - Good finish for his only clear cut chance. His hold up play is immense; even 3 Millwall players couldn't get the ball off him.

Andrews 7 - Did ok, but he was playing against 10 men for most (if not all?) the time he was on. I think it's probably much easier to boss a midfield in that situation.

I think I must be the only person to think Lua Lua was poor today, yes he got the assist but every other time he got the ball he shot into Row Z, fell over or ran the ball out of play

I think there's some funny marking going on here. Yes we were poor but I don't think anyone deserved a 3. Anyways:

Kusczack - 6 not much to do
Calderon - 6
Ward - 6 still not convinced. Solid but better than Painter? Not convinced.
Greer - 6
Upson - 7
Ince - 6 not bad first half but obviously feeling the pressure in the second half cauldron, subbed at the right time
Lopez - 5 being played out of position and it shows
Crofts - 7 good second half
Buckley - 7 would have been more but for that dreadful miskick in front of goal.
Agustien - 5 awful player on this showing
Ulloa - 8

Orlandi - 8
Lua Lua - 8 tore them a new one
Andrews - 8 needed his experience at that point

Oscar - 6 inspired substitutions? But if his philosophy is to keep the ball, why can't we?

Millwall - 4 dirty team

Millwall fans - 10 great banter, great atmosphere

We need to improve a hell of a lot of we are going to finish above mid table. First half we were dire.

The first hour was some of the worst football I've seen the Albion produce at the Amex. Just aimless long punts, really strange. The last half hour was better, and it coincided with Orlandi performing

PIG -6, Did nothing wrong

Calderon - 6, Played well especially where he tried to go forward
Greer - 5, Average is being nice
Upson -6, Good performance
Ward - 5, Average

Buckley - 5.5, not as bad as people are saying but not great either
Kemi - 4, Poor & deserved to be subbed at half-time
Lopez - 4, Should have gone off at half-time too
Crofts - 7, The only midfielder who looked interested... really tried to drive the team forward
Ince- 6, Decent performance

Ulloa - 7, Fed off scraps but definitely struggled against Shittu as he couldn't out-muscle him.

Orlandi - 8, MOM despite only playing one half, and taking ten minutes to get into the game
Lua Lua - 7, Mixed bag - mainly awful delivery, but he makes things happen & scares defenders.
Andrews -7, Provide a solidness in midfield we really needed

Augustien and Dave were both awful. Either get augustien fit, or don't play him.

Buckley not much better, nowhere near the player we know he can be.

Upson the best of a very slow back line.

We only started to play for the last 20 minutes

First half was dreadful, truely shocking.

Orlandi, and to a lesser extent KLL and Andrews changed the game.

Millwall will get relegated. Just shows how bad we were today.

Kusczak - 6 (done nothing wrong)
Calde - 5 (went missing for the goal)
Greer - 5 (nothing amazing nothing poor)
Upson - 5: see Greer
Dave - 6: slow start to season again
Ulloa - 8: class
Buckley - 4; very poor AGAIN. Not good enough
Agustein - 5: not sure what he does at the moment
Ince - 5: good first half. Showed inexperience second
Ward - 6; steady but nothing special
Crofts - 7: our best midfielder today

Subs
Orlandi- 6 - off the pace
Andrews - 7: steadied the ship played well when he came on
Kaz- 9 : changed the game and done what a poor Buckley should be doing. Needs to be starting as is wasted on the bench. Deserved MOM on his 20 minutes alone.

Overall: very poor from both teams. Millwall will go down and we need some serious investment to avoid a relegation battle as I've seen nothing which makes me think we are good enough to compete with the present team.

Andrews bossed the midfield at Birmingham as well so can do it with 11 man on the field. I think he'll be vital this season.

Brighton
Kuszczak 6 - Not a lot to do, decent distribution
Calderon 6
Greer 5
Upson 6 - was he playing left back? He seemed to be out there all the time
Ward 4.5 - kept literally going missing. Millwall had the run of their right wing far too much in the first half often because whenever they went up there, Ward was no where to be seen. Didn't get forward enough or do much with his crosses when he did.
Ince 6 - not as good as his performance last week
Lopez 5.5 - Think some people are being harsh on him. Seemed to work harder to win the ball back than I remember seeing him ever do before, delivery from set plays still need work
Agustien 5.5
Crofts 5
Buckley 5 - Is far too weak in the challenge, plays for fouls when he could have got in behind, threw himself to the ground so often on the rare occasion he was genuinely fouled the ref didn't believe hi
Ulloa 7 - not as good as last week

Orlandi 6.5 - composed in possession
Lualua 5.5 - not looking up, wasteful shots that didn't trouble the keeper, tries to take on too many men usually losing the ball in the attempt, but put the ball in the box for the goal
Andrews 6

I found today's performance very frustrating. Without that red card we'd have got nothing from the game, I reckon, which is weird because for the second week in a row I don't believe we've done enough with our man advantage. Millwall, like Burnley last week, had too much time and freedom with the ball when down to ten men. No one seemed to ave a decent first touch, and while we improved when Lualua came on, I don't think he did all that much himself. I think a lot of people get excited because it's him rather than because of what he does. We were far too predictable and Millwall were easily stopping everything we tried because of it. Improved performance second half, but we still hit it long and lose possession too much, and still aren't controlling games the way we used to.

I think the ref got a lot more right than the crowd gave him credit for. Our players go down too easily, especially buckley and ulloa. They would get more free kicks if the weren't seen by refs as going down under the slightest touch. Ward left his foot in on derry in the opening minutes and got away with it, lualua seemed to think not looking where he was going as he sidled into a player and falls over would win him a free kick. Defensively we still stand off too much and give our opponents time and space to move forward and Lopez's set plays are not currently effective.

The Orlandi mark is weird considering he was the class act on the pitch when he came on from being out injured and to be able to slot back in he and kaz totally mullered a tiring millwall defence

Yes I think you are. Changed the match and along with Upson & Ulloa could have been MOM. I am not sure why he drifted into the middle at one point as he is far more effective out wide.

So you would give Lopez who did absolutely nothing apart from 1 crossfield pass in 55 minutes the same as LuaLua who came on and had 3 shots at goal in his first 5 minutes, before causing them a lot of problems and then skinning his man to make the goal all in 35 minutes?

Spanish Dave was played out of position , LuaLua is overrated and if he was that good why wasn't he in the starting 11 ? Of the 3 subs , Orlandi and Andrews put in a better shift than Kaz.

That's why I gave him a 6 , the same as SD.
