Indeed he did... I also remember watching Valur Gislason (of Iceland), I also remember Dick Knight (joking), in the players lounge at Hartlepool that the club rated him but couldn't "Afjord 'im mate!" Ian (bloody) Baird, George (Sodding) Parris... Good God.

paul mcdonald was my favorite player at the time....i think it was because he could dribble without tripping over or running out of play occasionally

he seemed to actually vaguely know what he was doing

Peter Smith certainly wasn't short.

Keeper - Mark Ormerod?

I think I am getting Jeff and Peter mixed up in my head... I am pretty sure it is Peter Smith who I am thinking of. And yep Mark Ormerod really nice chap he came in to the place where we were having lunch and signed my programme as my 12 year old sister swooned over him...

I remember George Parris' legendary incident where he robbed the Bristol Rovers keeper of the ball after hiding on the post. Dean Mundee with a penalty as well to seal a 2 nil win. Was sitting in the South Stand at the time. Recall the Parris goal being shown on Question of Sport 'What happens next?' a few months later.

Neither here nor there
Oh, I'm getting all nostalgic. In fact I'm going to set up a new club called BHA Seagulls United FC and start from the County League, reclaiming the club for its fans, so we can watch from weed-strewn terraces with beer in our hands.

Edit: actually I might not do that. I might stick to my padded Amex seat and watch our flairtastic side win the Championship.
