How very petulant.

It's not petulant whatsoever. I just find it very hard to believe some people still think Gus is the best thing since sliced bread and desperately want him to stay. He has done a decent job for us but now is the time to move on, instead of taking shots at the board/Barber based on nothing but rumors.

Where have I said I want him to stay? My only point is that it takes two to tango, theres more to this anybody knows, although I accept that I am less bothered than some when it comes to Gus' interview comments. Wrong? Maybe, but that doesn't mean I think he is God, and desperately want him to stay, nor that the club management are totally blameless.

As I said earlier, I just want this sorted out one way or the other. This cock-waving - by both sides - has got to stop.

That we are lead to believe had nothing to do with his suspension, so it's only supporters who are getting arsey about it.

I'm not saying that is the reason for the suspension but it almost certainly contributed to the breakdown in the relationship with TB.

My memory will be, every time we got to the big game, he reverted to type and we lost.

You have issues. Seriously.

What's your memory of the Albion going all the way to the cup final in 83? Let me guess, it's that we got hammered in the final replay?

@ B.W you really need to rewrite your signature "Freedom of speech is a right not a privilege. Proud of my balanced view."

Very few people who are currently praising gus's contribution think he's god or desperately want him to stay, but it seems it's easier to just repeat that line to somehow make the praise seem less legitimate, like its from some blinded fool rather than being from someone looking at the whole picture of his entire time with us, where we were, where we are, and offering their fair appraisal, because it seems some people are just determined to see in absolutes of black and white - think gus did a good job? Well, then you clearly think tony is useless and contributed nothing, hate barber with a passion for no reason, and don't care for the club.

All of the mqnqgers quoted have proved their worth at the highest level, poyet hasn't.

Mullery had a big budget and maybe that was the start of the financial troubles.

Tarrico found innocent but the other two suggests there is something. It may be about compensation but that is a lot of money.
Those honest words as you call them undermined his employers.

1.This is Poyet's first job so who knows what he will achieve, my point was that confidence & arrogance are two sides to the same coin.
2. Tarrico found innocent is a big assumption to make. He is free to return to work but how do you know he hasn't been disciplined? He could have been fined for all we know. Speculation, yes, but so is he is innocent..

I agree. Whenever I try to put forward my opinion, I am called a Gus lover, or worshipping him as god, which, frankly, is insulting. If the people who want him out are so convinced that he has committed heinous crimes, why then do they try to denigrate other people's opinions by putting them down as 'lovers & worshippers'. I know it is time for him to go, but will be sad as I have enjoyed the last 3.5 years immensely.
As Turkey has rightly said, nothing is black & white.

Maybe one day, Nsc will have a balanced debate. Some chance eh?

Nope, It's how the underdogs got all the way to Wembley even with a clown in charge. Beating Liverpool at Anfield, Case's goal against Norwich and his free kick in the replay still sends a shudder down my spin..and how we came close, oh so close in the final. Those were the days, when football was played by men and the players would get pissed in the pub after the game...Yes I know I will now be canned for saying that as the standard then wasn't a patch on today. But somehow it all seemed more real and in touch with the fans. Not all change is for the good.

How do you know the board has made any mistakes? I'll answer that for you - you don't. So show some faith in Tony and his board, and accept that Gus has done something very, very wrong.

As you quite rightly say, we do not really know if the board has done anything wrong and at this moment in time we do not really know if Gus has done anything wrong. The truth will probably be both made a few mistakes and for those reasons we may never get to know.

Thats a pretty trite statement. If that was the case then every crime would have two people in the dock and there would never be a victim.

Havent you heard?

Heard what, innocent until proven guilty? That any breach of contract is now a criminal offence?

There seems to be a sense that at the root of all this mess is that there has been a breakdown in the relationship between gus and tony (not a criminal offence), breakdowns in relationships usually involve two people.

But a breakdown in a relationship can be down to the unreasonable actions of just one of those involved. In the case of Poyet and Bloom, we don't know what goes on behind closed doors but in public we know it is only Poyet that has made statements (mainly because he is asked to by jounalists). Maybe some of those statements may just have been because he wears his heart on his sleeve and is being honest or it may have been an attempt to put pressure on Bloom to increase the budget, eg I might move to another club so give me more money to spend and I'll stay and then the very blatant statement after the Palace game relating to the ceiling. If the latter then it backfired.

You mean the players and management were English?
