You have to look at the Swansea model which we have duplicated . Could be best thing to ever happen .

This. Swansea were the team I also thought of; must have been painful when rodgers left, but now under laudrup they are a far better team.

I have always been 100% behind gus during his time at the Albion and I still think he is one of our greatest ever. But as this story unfolds, I have started to believe that maybe his passing is a good thing for the club, partly due to his behaviour and attitude, but also because a breath of fresh air may be a good thing in footballing terms. Of course, it depends on who the replacement is...

Lets hope Poyet doesn't get his dream budget elsewhere and come poaching Bridcutt, Buckley and so on.

After Vicente-gate I'm not so sure that our players will be quite as desperate as I suspected to follow Gus whatever.

I'm still concerned that other clubs will come in for Bridders but TBH I can't see quite so much interest in many of our other players after their play off performance.

If this means the core of our present squad will stay and give the new manager a chance then I would be pretty happy. An injection of fresh ideas and motivation might just be what we need to move onward and upward.

Pork pie land.
Barnes maybe played as a striker not in midfield
We may play 2 upfront for more than 1-2 games in a season
WE may become a more attacking team not obsessed with possession

Over to you...

We may have a team with the backbone to fight back from going a goal down! Whoever we get must build a team with strength, speed and skill. Pussy football will not win this league.

totally agree with this. If he starts bleating on about other clubs in his next job other boards maybe less tolerant

Yet we came fourth in the league, only four points off second, and got the most points in 2013. If we had Ulloa all season we may have gone up automatically playing "pussy football". Maybe we should hire John Beck and only sign players over 6 foot 6.

i can name a few that would deny it

Boring pussy football. Very few exciting matches. Unless you get excited by futile passes for the sake of passing. I think that we have had poor value for the money invested by TB. IF Poyet had been more adventurous we had automatic promotion within our sights.

Thanks for providing the perfect example of what I was talking about. Luckily most people have the sense to realise this is rubbish and we did really well to come fourth.

Be interesting to see if the new chap can utilise CMS correctly, you'd have thought him and Ulloa would be a decent combination.

Rubbish! We had the ability to win matches, but failed to try.

We don't have the right to win every game you know. Some of the games we drew, we did everything but score. The goal scoring issue was solved with Ulloa and we have been on a superb run since Christmas playing some great football along the way. If you don't realise that and genuinely haven't enjoyed this season, I feel sorry for you as you will probably never be happy.

It amazes me that people think Poyet's style was boring. We played some amazing football this season and it was far from boring. Predictable at times, maybe but not boring most of the time.

Yes we did, the best football I've ever seen at The Albion....at times. But too often slow, predictable , ineffective and ultimately boring.
