All this slagging off, of Holloway could backfire very badly. He may have the last laugh. He is not a shit manager. He has a very good track record and has he really done that badly at CPFC ? 5th and probably middle table form overall with him in charge. I fear we are setting ourselves up for a fall. And we all loved Holloway before he joined Palace.

Talk to any Palace fan and they'll tell you he's shit, no tactical nouse whatsoever.

They only stayed in the play offs by the skin of their teeth and it's down to the team, individual players and nothing to do with the bumpkin.

Oh yeah don't get me wrong, the manner in which they've gone about securing 5th , doesn't bode well but IH said:-

@Official_CPFC: IH: If fifth wasn't good enough for anyone in this room at the start of the season then there's something wrong with you

As a statement of fact, he's not far wrong.

I don't agree with a single word of that. He's always been an idiot and if you plot his points earned since he's been there they definitely qualified despite him.

track record shows they were mid table under him, not hopeless relegation candidates and anyone would have been slagged off , after their hero Freeman left. Holloways managerial stats do not make him the numpty people on here are saying and he didn't do too badly at Blackpool, all Holloway needs to motive him is to read this thread, worrying people writing him off as an incompetant fool imo.

The point is that Palarse are all over the place as a club, infighting etc. We are all pulling together, all the team know their jobs and on Monday the whole stadium (-2k) will be rooting for Gus and the team.

This doesn't guarantee we'll win, but it sure as hell doesn't do any harm.

True, BUT he was not manager at the start of the season and took over a team who scored for fun and in a far far better position than any of us thought we would be in.

Only because you are on a good run of form, how many threads were there to sack Gus when you were not doing so well?

I think that's the point.

If you had offered any Palace fan 5th place at the start of the season, or after the first handful of games, I'm sure you'd all have taken it. However, given the performances and results under DF, limping into the Play-offs in the final minutes of the final game may seem like a bit of disappointment, especially given that Hull weren't miles in front.

Did any Palace fan seriously think they would have got automatic promotion ? Holloway at the end of the day got them in the play offs, their most likely scenario all along, so I think he can be justified in saying, up yours and it is not over yet, not by a long way. If he does get them up, he will be an absolute hero again to Palace fans.

Thats about right. I am actually not overly bothered by the play-offs. Normally I would be on tenterhooks but I genuinely fear if we did get promoted what would happen with Holloway, but then again at least we would get all those lovely millions. Then again I also worry about next year in the championship under him. I never thought I would reminisce about the good old days of the relegation battles.

I'm not writing Palace off for one second, I think they will give us the sternest test yet of our style and I have no idea if we will emerge victorious, but it won't be anything to do with that idiot. As a group the Palace players have proved to be self motivated even with Wurzel playing players out of position and at times throwing 5 forwards on.

I'd say that a fair number of them probably thought that they had a decent shot at it, especially around November/December time. Not without justification, either.

As a club manager and putting humour to one side (and few could accuse the FL of having a sense of humour!) his "shit" comments aimed at Albion could well earn him a disrepute charge

Do you reckon he was thinking "middle table form overall" when he watched their first game after he had agreed to go there and told the Palace crowd how lucky they were to have such a brilliant team?
