I understand Zaha is at the ceremony. Curiously his teeth don't appear to be bothering him tonight.

Rightly so. Murray is in a good Palace team and Vydra is controversial for a lot of reasons.
Calderon picking up an award is a fantastic reward for his work off the pitch, it is genuinely fantastic that has been recognised. His dog scares the life out of me though.

Ince won the Young Player of the Year.

Sorry, that was Young Player of the year.

I'll be honest, I'd have voted for Murray. Ince has tailed off a bit, Vydra is decent but not the best out there IMHO. Murray has dragged a fairly mediocre Palace team up to promotion contention. He's also been in pretty consistent form throughout, and hasn't tailed off at all.

Ince beat Zaha to the other award? Probably fair enough. Scores more goals. Doesn't run up blind alleys so much, or morph into Tiny Tears every time things don't work out for him.

He plays for Brighton - he's a weed scummer.

Would be hard to suggest he doesn't come across as a top bloke though.

This is the first time I've seen you crawl out of your hole since the humiliation of last Sunday so I'll take the opportunity to say thanks for the three points and 3-0 :tosser:

You must have missed my other posts then, on the day and since then. No worries.

Thanks for the 3-0 and 3 points at Selhurst, good luck scraping a playoff spot.

You've banged on and on and on about how he's the best player in the Championship, and how all the managers (Steve Bruce, Dougie, Worzel, Fergie jnr etc) say so, but it turns out you were talking shit again.

How can I be talking shit if all of those managers actually do say so?
Because they don't. You're talking shit, because if the managers agreed he was the best player in the Championship, then he'd win the best player award - but he's not even been nominated. That's pretty bloody obvious isn't it?

“I have to say, Kevin’s going to steal the highlights but I thought the kid Zaha showed why he’s certainly the best player in the league,” said Bruce. “By a million miles.”
Hull boss praises Phillips and left in awe of Man Utd-bound Zaha after Crystal Palace defeat - Crystal Palace - London24

The England Under-21 winger was born in the Ivory Coast and also needs to decide where his international future lies if approached to play for either country’s senior squad. Zaha was described by Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson as “the best player outside the Premier League, hands down”.
Crystal Palace winger Wilfred Zaha helps steer his side to the top of the Championship but may move on in January - Telegraph

Vydra was the best striker at the AMEX this season, so on the one time I've seen him, well done.

What's that? A weed scummer wins an award and despite nominations Palace win nothing?

Palace got nominated for POTY and YPOTY. Brighton get a "Player in the Community" award?

So basically what you're saying is that Palace have better players but you've got a nice bloke. Seems fair.

I think everyone was expecting Glenn to get it. He's the highest scorer in the country FFSMurray.

Were you born a bellend or did you have to take a class?

Lets be honest, Murray should've won that by a mile, 30 goals is it this season? Only ronaldo and messi ahead of him on earth, maybe Falcao I don't know, Vydra somehow nicks it, class player but shouldn't be winning the player of the year.

"I thought the kid Zaha showed why he’s certainly the best player in the league,”
"Zaha was described by Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson as “the best player outside the Premier League, hands down”.
So let's see if I can help you work it out:
The fact is, the managers have just voted, and Zaha was not in the top 3 best players in the Championship.
So either:
a) those quotes have twisted what the managers said (as papers do)
b) the other manager disagree with them

You believed (and bizarrely, maybe even still do  ) that the managers in the division thought Zaha was the best. They clearly don't, as they've just proved with their votes :wrong:
