I would too. Can play the second striker role as well as being the central figure. Obviously a total mercenary but needs a shop window. Hard to imagine WBA playing him now so perhaps would assist with wages for the rest of the season. Someone'll pick him up, may as well be us.

This time next week there will be 10 weeks until the end of the season (incl playoffs) so could we get in a £50K pw player from a prem club? It would cost us £500K but would be worth it if we got promoted (even if we got to the playoff final then the gate money would pay the wages).

Do we need one, the team seems pretty settled, we've beaten three of the top teams in last six weeks, even against Palace we had options.

We need cover for Ulloa if the worst should happen and he got injured.

Gus's comment was about how silly we would look if we got to the play offs and Ulloa got injured........

Exactly. There's 11 big games left, and we have one striker.

The problem here as I see it is we are effectively looking for a bench player, a back up striker. There are not too many strikers warming benches at clubs say lower prem - championship who are gonna want to come and do exactly the same here!

If a striker was on the bench for a prem side, then they need him too. We'd be looking for someone who can't make their bench.

Can't we just recall Dobbie?

People are only saying Simon Church because Naylor mentioned it. Don't think it'll be him. Reckon we'll go for a younger player who is hungry to prove their worth instead of Church who most likely doesn't care as he's still getting paid by Reading.
