i bet they will make it look so easy when they bat and we will struggle to get wickets
Yep. Going to need at least one more full day of rain to save this one.

Did we take New Zealand about as seriously, as The Albion did with Bristol City I wonder.....?

I was at the game today, it was pretty scorching hot and the outfield was quite quick after a day of rain. England batted horribly, the pitch is a pretty flat deck as it usually is. There was just this extreme arrogance with their batting, 3-4 players stood in the middle for quite a while after getting out as if they felt they didn't deserve to be out or something. Cook especially after being dropped on 9, then 1 run later just spoons the most basic of cuts to point and then stands there as if he doesn't believe he is actually out.

Our bowling attack is one of the weakest in living memory, losing Bracewell to stupidity was not what we needed. Wagner bowled with some fire but most of the wickets were just poor batting.

There is more rain scheduled for the weekend so take heart in that. Also this guy had a worse day.

I only saw the first session and the shot selection and defensive work by the England batters was terrible. Still hats off to the young NZ bowlers they put the ball in the right places and drew the mistakes.

Wel done Monty for carrying his bat, lets hope he can work so wonders with the ball

Another fairly disguesting from the England team, humiliated at the hands of minnows New Zealand, which can be added to an ever growing list of embarrassments for our cricket team.

As Vaughan said today, we just didn't take them seriously. I'd actually prefer us to have a competitive series against NZ so that we are not complacent in the first ashes test. We'll probably spank them senseless over the rest of the series though and then be bowled out fo 100 in the first aussie test. Or maybe i'm just being complacent.

What are you on about? We were awful yesterday granted but we are ranked no.2 in the world, this team is better than anything we've have since Botham's days. We also haven't been humiliated yet.

Odds of a NZ win are 6/5! Surely there's some value there, NZ have lost a day but England have lost an innings..

What's the weather forecast like?

Watched first session of day 3 - bowling was poor. Some aggression but no much danger of a wicket. It is a very good batting surface - makes our dire display look even worse. By the time we bat again the pitch may be taking spin and may have some uneven bounce

Not saying a lot is it?? We've had plenty of abysmal teams since then. I'd say the 2004 Ashes winning team are better than this lot too.
