Both these

Good point about ACT. About 10 years after Brown organised that theft from ALL pension schemes, a journalist finally had the intelligence to directly ask Brown about it. Brown mumbled something, smirked, and never truly answered. The journalist left it there.

Brown got away with that one, as most would and never did understand the underhand hit he permanently caused to pension schemes.

Ignoring the fact that she has had 11 kids, those that are bemoaning the situation seem to ignore the fact that whatever the situation the kids are not to blame. Insisting she goes to work isn't going to help because then someone has to pay for the care of those kids because the likelihood of her having a job that covers it are nil. As for the house, I do believe she is not being given a 6 bedroom house. She will not own the property, she'll just be a tenant. She is also not a typical case, she is an exceptional one. Still, don't let that stop the right brigade bleating on about it!

Exactly this, also 400k or whatever for a six bed house is peanuts compared to say London, most likely the same or less rent than all the MP's second homes in London. Then again it would be different if it was your family in need wouldn't it ?

They have to live somewhere. I can't see the issue everyone is working themselves into a frenzy about.

After having their 11th child, a Tewksbury couple decided that was enough, as the social wouldn't buy them a bigger bed. The husband went to his doctor and told him that he and his wife didn't want to have any more children. The doctor told him there was a procedure called a vasectomy that would fix the problem but it was expensive. A less costly alternative was to go home, get a firework, light it, put it in a beer can, then hold the can up to his ear and count to 10.The bloke said, 'I may not be the smartest guy in the world, but I don't see how putting a firework in a beer can next to my ear is going to help me. ''Trust me, it will do the job', said the doctor. So off home he goes, lit a banger and put it in a beer can. He holds it up to his ear and begins to count: '1, 2, 3, 4, 5,' at which point he paused, placed the beer can between his legs so he could continue counting on his other hand. This procedure also works in Middlesbrough, Bolton, parts of Stoke on Trent and anywhere in N.Wales – and Sunderland !

I don't know how you are bringing up your kids but it's a worry if they are easily influenced by this story to consider a life on benefits! Personally, I don't know any kids that would take this as route to happiness and a good life!

Pretty much agree with this.

It's just recycling the age old "scrounger" story. It's a shitty situation, as is the fact that rich people avoid tax (is it not possible to dislike both at the same time ) but what can you do if someone is hell bent on abusing the system?

Personally I'd put a cap on the number of bedrooms available via social housing, and cap child benefit at 3 children, it should at least serve as a deterrent. If they go over they'll have to find a way to cope, 11 kids in a 3 bed house didn't do my grandad any harm, people expect too much these days.

I'm more concerned with the £120 Billion owed in tax by masssive company's not this woman and even less concerned about the 9 small companies the government has decided to name and shame for not paying tax properly. Yes, it's not on but the government refuses to name and shame the big companies that owe billions.

Ahhh come on ... there is not ONE endearing feature to this woman's irresponsibility or how our benefit system rewards it.

We can bat around all our political 'bugbears' if it makes you feel better, but it doesn't exonerate the shear lunacy of it all.

People need to start taking some responsibility. Where have the fathers buggered off too?. Makes me sick as well, so don't worry. The women has been used an example which is kind on unfair, but it just proves what people have said all along, people gets benefits for nothing. Nothing changes does it.

It also doesn't change the fact that she has 11 children, whether we like it or not. They have to be housed. I just hope that as soon as they reach home leaving age she is told "The party's over flowerpot, get your shit together your out of here" and is shoved into a hovel of a bedsit with just the essentials for life.
