I think Mr Putdown is naive or possibly stupid to think that all people who are reasonably well off are either on the Sunday Times richlist or Wikipedia, but i'm not sure it's trolling.

Interestingly, i have worked closely with one of his Wikipedia billionaire list and as with most people that have more than a couple of properties, a few shares and a bank account, he had no idea of his worth.

My guess is that TB's business interests are sufficiently diverse that he has no idea. But he does know he can afford to cough up the odd 150 million on his hobby, which gives some indication of scale.

I was told that Palace fans aren't allowed to start wind-up threads. Everyone could see how this was going to turn out and still Titanic et al chose and still choose not to follow their own instructions.

So now, he's set a precedent for future wind-up threads. Palace fans get your mate to start it off all innocently, play nicely and be self-deprecating and then let some other Troll do the winding-up. And even then Titanic won't do anything about it.

You seem to be struggling with the idea that I might have been genuinely interested in the subject, rather than trolling. I haven't got a clue who the OP is, he's certainly not knowingly a mate. You also seem to have ignored the positive comments about TB generously sprinkled amongst my posts, whilst asking about his perceived billionaire status.

I would be very very surprised if that was the case even more so as the land was originally partly Brighton / partly Lewes.

I seem to remember reading (on here) that the ownership of the stadium had been transferred to a trust hence the stadium would always be separate from the Football Club.

Would be interested to hear from anyone else who has more than my limited knowledge.

PS have trawled the thread AND done a search to no avail !

The freehold is owned by the Council.

The stadium (long leasehold interest and physical structure etc) is owned within the Albion's stadium limited company, set up years ago.

This is separate from the trading (everything else) limited company.

Above those 2 companies is the parent holding company.

So the stadium is ring fenced from any trading problems, should they ever arise.

1. It was genuinely unintentional

2. I hadn't realised asking if TB was a "billionaire" would wind people up. I assumed it was something that was interesting as a discussion point. Jeez i even posted that I was "jealous" of you having him as your owner. Was that also trolling?

3. If you represent the average Brighton fan now then I guess my input is neither wanted nor popular with your new fans. Fair enough I guess.
