Pub team that thrashed you lot and are above you in the table.

You did & you are.

We were top of the league in September & you in December.
What matters is where you are in may,so which team is on the way up &which team is on the way down.Which team has improved their squad & which team will be weakening their squad.

Wrong. Improved team only potentially leads to your first point which is correct. There are 3 things that matter this season:

Palace v Brighton
Brighton v Palace
Final League standings

I'd suggest that the first two are even more important than the third. Because lets say we do the double over you this season which is pretty likely, and then by some absolute miracle akin to 28 days later means that you lot get promoted. You can lord it over the higher division, which is pretty nice actually as we've found for all but 1 of the last 30 years, but it will always nag that you havent beaten Palace for quite a while...

In that case, why do you all use the 'we're higher in the league than you' claim when it isn't important?

Promotion you say, Oh I think that I could live with that

But coincidentally, if we beat you 12-0 at the Amex and you get promoted, all that matters to you lot will be the fact you're in a higher division. Funny how the goalposts get moved isn't it.

I'll wager you won't get the full house - don't get me wrong I'd f***ing love to beat you lot, first for the enjoyment of the day and secondly for the week of peace on here - but if we finish above you and lose both games I'd still consider it advantage Albion. The main goal is league position, simple as. We'll play you a hundred more times down the years, one game means nothing in the long run, it's temporary. Right now you're above us and deservedly so, but last season we were above you and deservedly so. Let's see how it stands come May.

If you offered me a 3.0 home defeat in march for promotion I would take that.
Yes we would probably come straight back down but we would have a season against the big boys plus the knowledge of knowing how gutted must palace be to see us in the EPL knowing they had thrashed us twice & been top of the league themselves but f***ed it up

As per usual, we get a Palace scrote banging on about their '30 years'. Notice how none of them refer to the fact that they went into administration twice during that period? Administrations that ensured they had an unfair advantage over clubs that tried to live within their means. Please f*** off with your ersatz superiority over us.

What a complete load of bollocks.

If we get promoted, I don't give a shit if you beat us twice. I'd take that. What would hurt is you beating us twice (best you look up when that last happened) and finishing above us.

Its Who finishes higher what counts.

As we did last year.

I couldnt agree more . its seems to me that the most aggressive anti palace posters on this board are the ones who go crying to the mods to ban us "PALACE TROLLS" when they cant handle the replies .
I dont see the problem with the interaction of us as long as lines arent crossed , which at times yesterday they were .
If you see SJLM on BBS tell him to come back here. We all know he's a closet Brighton fan anyway.

As you were last season...9 points.....look who finished 10 points above you....and as for thrashing us...we have both thrashed the other at times....but head to head we are still in the lead....

Firstly, it's not that likely you'll do the double over us. But I take your point, doubles are a big deal. What is it, 7 (seven) doubles to us since the war, and how many to you? Oh yes, 0 (zero). Unlucky.

Considering we've already beaten you, we've only got to beat you at home to get the double.

If we played tomorrow, who would likely win? Let's face facts, it's probably us.

Which team has improved their squad & which team will be weakening their squad.

We won't be weakening our squad, that's for damn sure. No first team players will be leaving and we've got two or three more incoming players to add to Nimely and Jacob Butterfield (one of the best midfielders in the division). We're after David Vaughan from Sunderland and DJ Campbell from QPR and Holloway thinks we'll get them.

Our squad is stronger than yours at the moment, and the gap will only widen after January.
