My wife suffers from a severe form and last June her tendon snapped. After 2months in plaster and further 2 in a support boot she is now gradually getting around but struggles with driving and is in constant pain. Surgeon says that it may never be 100% and could take up to 2yrs for the pain to go!
Yes I did it around 20 odd years ago and it is still stiff in the mornings...( ooh errr missus) Doesnt really hurt anymore, however I can't wear anything that is high backed, like boots or such like...in fact the only ones I have found I can wear are those hitec walking boots...but they catch every now and again and that bloody smarts
