It wouldn't seem to make commercial sense to withdraw the facility altogether. Introducing a fee for using the facility might be something someone, somewhere is considering though? ???

Never going to happen, its the only real option to spread the payment. It would be financial madness

Nope, club wouldnt remove it anyway as they know a lot of STHs use that - even Barber isnt that stupid to mess around with that.

Were Brighton to ever get promoted to the Premier League I'm fairly certain the option to pay for a ST by DD would disappear as soon as possible. Even if we stay in the Championship for the foresable future I am sure it will be on Mr Barber's "things to consider" list. As we saw with Azure, nothing is ruled out.

A £24 annual administration fee would only be an extra couple of quid a month :lolol:

Nah. The interest free option over the year is an incredible deal. If they whacked 20% more on a lot of people wouldn't renew. It would be stupid to even think about it IMO. I've paid in full the last 2 years but will need to pay by DD next season and each season after that. If they increase it buy adding interest I won't renew. I'll just buy the games I really want to see. i wouldnt buy a ticket for lets say... Peterborough and Bristol on a Tuesday night or any game thats live on TV...

Why would they? Must help the club's cash flow over the summer months.

Or - they could have 100% of the value of the STs upfront in July, and have it their bank earning interest, not sitting in yours, earning them nothing. Then cash flow over the summer months isn't an issue if the business is well run.

A calculation will be being made somewhere.

Why would it ? Of course what everyone pays will go up, but with a large number paying by DD - why would they want to piss of a large majority of the fanbase and price them out ? Especially when you consider you pay be paying about £500 + a year, not everyone can afford a big lump payment of that so thats why DD is so popular and is one of the reasons we have so many STHs.

Just because your promoted it doesnt mean anything would change with payment methods. I mean why remove something widely used ?

why would it disappear? commercial suicide its why we have so many sth's

Although some STH's may decide not to renew, will it be enough to rule out the option though. They may think that STH will not want to give up their particular seat in amongst their mates and gamble by moving the goalposts.

The scenario is surely being played out on spreadsheets in the financial department.

I'm sure nothing is being ruled out.

I do not think that they will stop the monthly payments as that is the reason that so many were able to take up a ST in the first place but I do think a charge will be made very soon, possibly next season.
