So Barnes had an off day. But he still did some good stuff and is involved in so much of what we do. Nonetheless the bad bits get highlighted. CMS had a shocker and rarely got involved in anything. Greer had another poor performance. Orlandi missed another open goal and despite his good creative work must surely be our poorest finisher. Anyone remember the classic 'scarecrow walking' pose of Steve Foster as he urged the back four to move forward? Oh how we need Greer to take responsibility and do the same. And it can surely be no coincidence that we struggle to maintain composure without El-Abd. How we miss his last minute blocks. Crofts is less of a player now than he was first time around, Norwich appear to have ruined him. And Hammond looks nothing like the player who skippered last year's Championship champions.
Barnes was taking responsibility for his role and involved throughout. It's also worth pointing out that apart from his air shot, his control when receiving the ball and subsequent distribution was faultless. Don't see that in many posts.

The problem with Barnes is that he needs about 25 attempts to actually score. We all know that our strikers are costing us points so far this season but to keep missing all these chances we are creating is just not on. Hammond was shocking again yesterday and there really needs to be some changes for tuesday night. Will we see them changes?... I doubt it.

You see, I think Orlandi is looking a class above and has been extremely unlucky in front of goal and that Hammond has been pretty good. I don't think that makes me superior to any other fan or that anyone who disagrees doesn't understand football.

Clearly, we were brilliant yesterday - that's why the last second goal hurt so much. I mostly agree with the OP, but I thought Gordon Greer was exceptional yesterday. I have criticized him many times in the past few weeks, but I thought yesterday he looked much more opposing than any recent games. His block at the end of the first half saved a sure goal.

It doesn't matter if we're brilliant for the whole game, even Bolton fans have noted how we could have been 5 or 6 up, yet if you can't hold on and get a win that would have put us in the play-offs; people are right to criticize.

His control and distribution was faultless, apart from the airshot was it...did he mean to pass to the guy in row h of the WSL then? or the guy in row r of the North?.If you call that faultless what do you call his finishing from four yards..Lethal.....

Greer was quality yesterday; I really don't think that any of our 'supporters', who have posted critical posts about him in the last 24 hours, can know much about football.

Makes me laugh when people point out the good things that Barnes does....HELLO,,,,,, he is a pro footballer(at least that's what his contract says) he gets paid to do good things now and then. Yet the fact people feel the need to point it out, every time he does something half decent, says it all.

Yes, but we didnt! We shoulda been out of sight by HT - poor strikers who miss chances week after week wont win you F..k all. Changes need to be made NOW regarding certain strikers!!!

Dobbie and hoskins must have some kind of role VERY soon. IMO of course.

We should have, we didn't, missed chances, late goals etc etc...As I said before, Leeds/Wolves and yesterday, there are 6 points more we should have easily, which would have us in third. This soft underbelly in the team and our inability to finish teams off, needs resolving soon or this will be the most wasted season in recent history. Because we are easily good enough to finish top six and if we don't it will be a massive failure and someone will have to carry the can.

I'll be disappointed if we don't at least make the playoffs but the way you go on you'd think we were 10 points adrift at the bottom. We are playing great football, things need tweeking and a bit of luck but the football is for the most part a joy to watch, maybe you should just chill out and enjoy the ride? Gus knows better than us how to set up a football team, the lack of faith is astonishing to me.
