Havant & Waterlooville 4-2 Swansea FA Cup 3rd Rnd Replay, 16.01.08 att. 4400 (West Leigh Park)

Linking in with the post above, Bognor hosted Havant & Waterlooville in the 2nd Qualifying Rnd that same season, and in front of 440 H&W narrowly sneaked it 2-1...

H&W went on to Anfield in the 4th Rnd where they lost 5-2, having led twice at 1-0, and 2-1...

Wimbledon v Leeds 45,000???

Leeds United 0–0 Wimbledon 25 January 1975 46,230 [19]
Replay Wimbledon 0–1 Leeds United 10 February 1975 45,071

The replay was switched to Elland Road from Plough lane, as the Wilmbledon cup run was national news by then (who rememberDickie Guy in goal for the Dons) and Leeds were the reigning League Champions (now Premier League) and storiming through europe to the the European Cup Final (where they lost 2-0 to bayern Munich)

A Brighton reserve game in the 70 s or 80s. You had to go to get tickets for the cup games for the first team. Someone will know. 15000??

My recollection is that to buy a ticket for the big league Cup tie (v Derby or West Brom) you had to buy them from the turnstile at a preceding reserve game, which meant that about 15-16,000 turned up for a reserve game!!!! Don't know how many people actually went into the ground and saw the game rather than just buy a ticket and bugger off

Telford
If reserve teams count, I saw Wolves reserves play Liverpool reserves a couple of seasons back at Telford Utd's ground.
If was Steve Gerrards comeback game [from Injury] and a capacity 6,500 were crammed in like sardines.
Also, Terry Connor is / was the Wolves no. 2 at the time [top ex Brighton bloke]

not even right for a home game. I think it was scarborough.

how can it be wrong when the thread title includes the word "that you attended" ?

I was at both the crawley and scarborough games

The biggest crowd I've been in at a non league ground was probably the Lewes friendly this season
