7m seems an awful lot of money for a footbller who has barely played beyond League One football.

If they don't go straight back up, they'll be more like Pompey than pompey.

Shocking that a club that got 13k for there first home game and have super cheap ST's can do this.I thought parachute payments were supposed to be used to level the books etc mmmmm.

How many forwards do they have now, if things don't go for them could get interesting?

Other than financially, what a DREADFUL move for Rhodes. But I imagine at £8m, Huddersfield will be desperate for him to go. Incredible money for a player who's played just a couple of Championship level games.

With only 3 promotion spots up for grabs I can see Blackburn or Cardiff not making it. Whoever doesn't or both, then with the debts they already have and their recent outlay, then I fear for their future.

Both have foreign owners who are only interested in the PL, certainly not the clubs.

I for one am glad that we are not spending silly money for a gamble that may lead to bust.

Why the feck didn't Blackburn spend some last Xmas in the transfer window?! They could have saved themselves a season in the Championship..!!
