Blackburn have been absolutely bumraped by Huddersfield at that price. They are putting immense pressure on themselves and the embattled Kean to get auto promotion. I rather like the less pressured and enjoyable 25000 full Amex with Gus thanks as opposed to 14-15000 rattling around in a northern hovel moaning to high heaven about everything.

This completely. Keen is an absolute numpty - the longer they don't sack him the better

I don't understand why it takes relegation for the Venkys mob to put their hands in their pockets. I hope they fail and follow the Portsmouth path.

Couldn't have put it any better.

If I wasn't struggling to compose myself to write this after reading Blackburn are paying up to 8 million for Rhodes at 38k a week then you post this only for me to fall of my chair again.

:lolol::lolol::lolol:

Venky's do know you can get relegated from the Championship? How Kean is still in charge is beyond me. Hope Venky's fail miserably, trying to milk the Premiership gravy train and not having a clue what's going on!

It didn't work for Leicester last season.

Just because the Venkey's are throwing money around, it certainly doesn't guarantee promotion.

And didn't I read somewhere that they didn't realise teams could get relegated from the Premiership?

Rhodes must be slightly disappointed though, as you'd assume signing for Blackburn means no Premier League clubs came in for him.

Rovers are a catastrophe waiting to happen- awful manager, clueless board, fans protesting every week. He can't have had any other serious offers.

£8M for Rhodes - truly barking. Blackburn must be mad.

I like Blackburn Rovers. Solid club in a small(ish) town and their fans have been a credit. They're still not putting up with that turd Keen running the show as the massive decline in gates are showing.

The Venkys clearly think they can buy their way back to the top, but I'm seriously not so sure. I'm not even convinced he is the class act he's made out to be by his league one goal scoring record. As has been said, there is a good chance that either Blackburn or Cardiff are going to fail to get promotion, especially with Sheff Wed, Leicester and Forest also backed by wealthy owners and the smattering of well run and clubs who could have good seasons and surprise everyone, such as ourselves, Blackpool, or even Huddersfield.

How many clubs have to go to the wall before the FA do something about it?

They have - the FFP should put paid to those clubs who gamble to reach the Premier League.
