Robbie Reinelt scored two goals for the Albion, but will be remembered far longer than Leon. You rightly say Leon is a twat, would you want a picture of such a person on your wall?

At the time I wouldn't mind, but thats not the issue is it?

Well pardon me, sounded more like a full on character assasination from what I read. In years to come it will be the stats that are remembered not all this bitching.

Did you ever celebrate a Knight goal? Do you now feel ashamed about it, and by exstention the team? If so f*** off and support a different club.

He is a Poisonous dwarf granted, but he has not commited and crime, he has not brought the club into disrepute. Hes history. Unless hes out to screw your sister all this posturing is f***ing retarded.

Where have I done any character assassination? You're the only one posturing like some sort of ultimate keyboard warrior getting your knickers in a twist about something that I doubt whether you care as much about as you are pretending to.

As per my original post, I said that I always thought his inclusion odd and what with the FDM testimonial coming up I thought it might be more appropriate to have him. If you disagree then why don't you do it rationally instead of acting like an angry fool?

Peter Taylor built that team though.

So who bought Eric Steele, Graham Moseley, Gary Williams, Mark Lawrenson, Steve Foster, Peter Sayer, Michael Robinson, Andy Ritchie, then?

Taylor may have created the foundations but he couldn't get Brighton promoted. Mullery - with his motivational skills - did.

So by that theory, if say Kazenga was to score a 90th minute winner on the last day of the season that gets us promoted to the Premiership, only for us to come straight back down, you'd say "so?"
You're (for a change) making no sense. Firstly, I said 'it's not like it was on the way to the premiership' and you then give an example where we get to the premiership. Secondly, if that's all Kaz ever did for us, it wouldn't be worthy of a picture outside the ground. Also, Kaz isn't the toys out the pram player that Leon was for us.

What an idiot...not the stuff of a brighton legend. I want the Legends to be role models not ruff morons.

To be fair to Leon he didn't ask to be a role model or be put up on a big blue sheet outside the stadium. He is just a man trying to live his life with the obstacles that life can deal us, some getting a worse hand then others. We look on at someone who is good at football destroying his career, it maybe a bit more tragic if (as i think) he was never given the skills to deal with ups and downs in life. I'm sure if he had a bit more self worth and social intelligence he wouldn't be doing the stuff he does, writing offensive tweets, acting like a tit in camera and generally destroying what should have been a very proud football career.

Like him or hate him...okay, hate him...but this (presuming it isn't a wind-up) remains one of the funniest things I've ever seen. The bloke is 30-odd, but has the mental age of about eight.

Yeah and while we're at it let's ask Da Vinci to paint over Judas Iscariot on his depiction of the last supper.

Put Simon of Cyrene in there instead or something.

Charlie Webb would be more appropriate or failing that, like others have said, Mullery as he took the team to the top division for their first and only time at that level. Possibly even Bamber as he facilitated that. FDM was a good servant of the club at a time when we couldn't really buy anyone better (and throughout all those loan goalkeepers I was always a Kuipers fan) he doesn't approach the status of Webb, Mullery or Bamber.

John Byrne ayone? Very surprised nobody has mentioned him on this thread - one of the most naturally gifted players to have worn the shirt and a man who has remained a supporter of the club through difficult times.

Mark McCammon has just retweeted something about Leon borrowing money from players at various clubs he has played for and not repaying it, hash tagging him #pettythief

I agree. Its about football not a personality contest. He banged in a shedload of goals that took us up.I'm greatful for that. He had his best season here then screwed it up, shit happens.

If you want a comparative replacement then Gary Nelson?

Its a football club, no need for some quasi-marxist cultural revolution. Leave him up there and add the others.

This for me, there's plenty of room for many others who served up a special Albion moment.
