Can't wait to see Bruno in action. By most reports Calderon is going to be struggling to get into the First Team this season on a regular basis, which is a shame as he contributed a decent goal haul last season.

Of course, defence is more important, if the strikers step up and actually score goals when given the chances, maybe thats where Calderon can fall down sometimes. At least he has now got serious competition for his place which will only benefit himself and the team.

He's played several times against Barcelona and Real Madrid competently - how do YOU think he will play against the mighty Hull?

i don't doubt Bruno's abilities for one second, but playing many championship sides will be an utterly different kettle of fish to playing the technical sides of la liga.

just ask Arsenal whether they enjoy playing Bolton. technically superior, but often found wanting when it involves getting stuck in.
last season we got beaten up by a few championship teams - fortunately Bruno doesn't look lightweight, but it's not a foregone conclusion that his technical aptitude will translate into him making a successful transition to this league. but i am very hopefull on the basis of comments on here.

This sounds a bit like the 'Could Barcelona cope at Stoke on a Tuesday night in February' argument (they could, easily). Technical ability will beat 'getting stuck in' 9 times out of 10.

Im going to mirror what quite a few people have been saying but last night he did look very good, his touch was quality and looks very sharp. Cant wait to see him in action our defense is looking very strong. With Bridge and Bruno getting forward we will cause team's trouble.

Yup. Perhaps we should look at the WDL record between Bolton and Arsenal over the last 10 years?

He put this on his Facebook about 10 minutes ago:

Segundo partido...0-3...despues de la paliza fisica de esta mañana tiene merito!!! Increible la aficion q se ha movilizado al campo del Lewes! Increible!!!! Abrazos

I don't speak Spanish at all, but Google was on hand to come up with this:

Second game ... 0-3 ... after the physical beating this morning has merit! Incredible q the hobby has moved to the field of Lewes! Incredible!! hugs

Can't wait to see this guy tear the Championship apart next season.

My interpretation was:

"Second game..0-3 - which was good, considering the physical effort this morning. Incredible how our support took over Lewes"

Oddly enough, he played in both Valencia's games against Stoke last season.

Wasn't there but looking forward to seeing him. I agree that class will show no matter what the opposition.

He was mesmerising last night. An absolute class apart. What a fantastic addition to our squad. An Albion legend in the making.

He is going to be an outstanding player next season, there's no doubt about that.

If you can have both, even better. The 2003–04, Arsenal team proved that. Lumps at the back, technical quality in the front.
