In 10 years time, the only ones we'll remember are Buckley for winning us our first game at the AMEX and Vicente as he was our first big name significant singing.

Speak for yourself. They might be the only ones YOU remember, but some of us have very good memories when it comes to Albion players. If I can fondly remember Briley, McDougald, Massimo, Muir and Jacobs now, then I'm sure I won't have forgotten Lualua, Greer, Calderon and the likes, in a few more years.

I dont like the term legend. Giggs, Scholes (both Utd), Henry, Bergkamp (both arsenal), Drogba, Lampard (both chels) shearer (Newcastle), Zamora, Ward (both Brighton), Gerrard, Dalglish (both Liverpool) etc etc are legends for their clubs.

Tony Bloom is the only legend currently at Brighton IMO. Legend is used way too much!

The word legend relates to a story/tale, I suppose Buckley could be a legend in putting his name in Brightons history books for what he did in the first league game at the Amex. The extent of the word Legend will mean slightly different things to different people though I suppose.

The term legend is bandied about way too often.

The only two that deserve legendary status are Peter Ward & Bobby Zamora.

Time will tell if anyone else joins them

Surely Mullers deserves it as well ?

How DID he get sent off for a headbutt? Physically impossible, Shirley?

Paul Brooker is a legend too, from those days. In fact, Brooker meant the end of Thomas.

What about that top corner save he made at Priestfied (promptly sent off), he was a genius.

Big fan of Brooker too, the bloke behind me gave him all sorts of stick for 'never getting his shorts dirty'...

I can't agree with that. Yes those two are obvious choices, but sometimes a player can become a club legend as a result of a single action: I'm thinking, of course, of Robbie Reinelt. Would you really claim he's not an Albion legend? The only thing he's remembered for is saving our league status, but for me that's more than enough.

According to 'soccerbase' Kerry Mayo's only 34, could do a job

get him back ... only player to play for the same team at 4 different 'home' grounds?

of the current squad I'll go for Calde and Adam

I'll see your Colin Hawkins and raise you a Jason Jarrett. Who could dismiss his unforgettable contribution back in 2009?

Oh don't get me f***ing started now on Jason Jarrett. Good God was he shit. He was painful. That penalty against Luton. The look on his face, that "I'm probably gonna miss but does it really matter?" look. Oh god, Jason Jarrett. Adams second period in charge was like that long painful morning after you've woken up, the ecstacy has worn off and you just feel deeply deeply ashamed for being so positive.
