Man city winning the league would have sent out the message that it's ok for players to refuse to turn out, f off to Argentina for five months and play golf and still get back in the team and pick up a medal. Then there's the enigma of ballotelli. Sorry, did I say enigma, more of a flaming MONG. 3 reds in six games??

Man united win the poorest prem in years with there poorest team and by a country mile.

How much money did Manchester United spend last summer?

I don't think it matters who wins the league, you can make the same arguments for each team about them "not deserving it".

I didn't mention money......

No, but I did.

I think Man City and Man Utd are well matched in terms of the ability to dislike them. For example, Candles, how many Man Utd "fans" are bleating on about the day on your Facebook page at the moment? People who come out of the woodwork when things are rosy for their adopted team.

It would be good for football if it meant, say Newcastle winning.

But as the top 4 may well still be Man x 2, Arse & Chel it doesn't really mean anything.

One mans Chelsea is another eras Blackburn. Now is city. Who next? The issue for me isn't a monetary one - not yet anyway. It's about management, class, respect and winning things. City haven't got any of these things yet so will end up plotless.

Basically bitten of quite a bit more than they can chew and Fergie will take on all comers these days and win hands down.

I'm with THIS post, and I say that with City being my second team.

Which was no different than Keegans rant.

Trouble is that City is not a team as such it is an expensive set of players bought together very quickly.

Utd is a team based on some seasoned professionals and added to bit by bit therefore more together as such when the going gets tougher.

I sincerely hope Mancini is dismissed as he now going for the cop out blaming most things on Balotelli when in effect he choses to play him.

Completely right mate, Fergie ouzes confidence and superiority

The problem for United will be when Fergie goes, I think a huge name will be needed - possibly Pep from Barca

Why would he go, he has it made at Barca

Most definitely as the club comes with a shit bag of politics so one disappointing season which probably means not winning the Champions League would cost him his job.

He has already hinted as such he may walk

In Mancini's defence. he could not possibly have known just what an a/h MB was going to prove to be. Got to sympathise having CT as well.

Personally, I think that United get rather a bad press as, looking at their history, the club was decimated at Munich and ownership has, in my simplistic and uninformed mind, never been quite the same as the Chelsea Man C or subsequently Man C. scenario. Man U (and Liverpool) were eventually acquired by Americans as a going businesses so not much speculation there. But, as stated, not totally 'au fait' with the situation.

PS never been to OT or even seen them play in reality, only ever seen live games involving Albion !!

Definately, also the United fans have all the time in the world for Fergie, if he didnt win something for 2 seasons its not even a blip but transition. That same scenario with a new guy would be interesting. Also, how much power will Fergie still hold when he does go. Will be interesting, very interesting to see.
