Their hoofball tactics 2nd half were even worse than ours against Coventry.

Joke team.

That has to have been an off-day. Not wishing to belittle our win but there's no way such a shocking team of talentless carthorses could have got top of the Championship.

Thier luck ran out when they played Bristol City, untill then they played all the right teams at the right time. I would like to see their points average since then. They are in a slow decline which may well accelerate seeing teams are stacking up behind them.

They were 12th in the form table before today

My friend,

by all means question our play but it won't do to call us a 'joke team'. Yes, we lost today but we must be doing something right because it is now into the second half of the season and we are still (just) top of the league. No joke there!

And with the £12m cash from the sale of oxo to the Arsenal and gates of 25k ++ there should be money to strengthen...

With some respect: this is tosh. Yeah losing Lambert knocked them bandy, and they became somewhat clueless with 10 men (we are used to it!) but prior to that they looked quite the unit. They might not go up automatically but they are far from awful. We played VERY well in that second half.

To be fair, my opinion of Southampton over the last two years hasn't changed. They are a good team who play a direct style of football (not long ball) that works for them. Normally Lallana is class and with the exception of Elliott Bennett was probably the best player in League 1 last year. Quiet today, think Tano had him in his pocket ;-) .

With Lambert out and De Prado(?) possibly injured, it will be interesting to see if they can adapt. Was surprised not to see Lee Barnard playing.

For me one of the least impressive teams at the Amex this season and despite large numbers, relatively quiet fans in comparison to Leeds and Palarse.

So you are blind, and/or were not at the game?

Please. Saints play the passing game better then any in this league.

Ahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Are you on a wind up? Maybe they do when teams lie down and let them pass.. But I was extremely disappointed with them today. I was very nervous before the game, from the highlights I've seen of Saints they looked like they were actually playing football this season. But... Nope!! Cross field ball to fatty Lambert. Cross field ball to fatty Lambert. Lambert goes off.. Oh, what do we do now? Terrible. I'm sure it works for them, as they're top of the league. But do not tell me that they play the passing game better than any other team in this league.

Lambo aint fat.

He is big boned.

He's also a scouser, so don't be southerner-ist.

(and I still disagree, we pass the ball. We never used to, but now we do..)
