January transfer window

If we are serious about becoming contenders in this division I feel we need the following. I am never usually critical of our players but really feel the below are not up to the standard needed if we are looking at top 6.

Not up to it:
Sparrow
Navarro

Need a serious talking to:
Calderon
Painter
Harley

New players needed:
Target man
Quality CB
Quality LB
Midfield destroyer

In the mean time, give Lua Lua a chance and get Vicente and Buckley fit for regular football.

Don't mean to be harsh on the players bit some serious changes are needed unless we are happy with bottom half.

Clearly the central midfield is a big problem area.

Navarro, Sparrow, Harley ( and Dicker ) not good enough, so as a minimum we need 2 more in here in January.

Personally I think we should cash in on Dunk, and bring in a replacement central defender with part of the money.

On top of this we need a fullback ( could be Reyes ) and an experienced striker ( sending Paynter back ).

We need to keep Harper, or get in someone else, as Ankergren is not the answer in goal..

So I seriously hope it's a busy January for us.

Didnt see today but Paynter is average, Harley flatters to decieve, Casper is not up to this standard, Navs and Sparrow arent Championship standard either.Painter lacks pace playing at full back

I personally would play Buckley up front with CMS (when fit obviously). He is six foot, very fast and can finish. I cannot see that he would be any worse up front than Paynter.

I think you'd be shocked at the budget of even average teams like Ipswich.
