Is this the same Gus that got the best out of Murray, ElAbd and Barnes? Did you expect him to sign Rooney or Ronaldo or maybe even Messi as we were promoted last season? From some of your posts, it seems as though you would prefer us to have somebody else in charge.

He does have a point though, I'm not against Poyet, he's the best manager we've had for years. However, the money spent in the summer hasn't really improved the side a great deal.
Vincelot: Small fee, yes, always looks a good addition but is never given any kind of run in the side.
Harley: Just looks dissinterested, he's a luxury player, and in this league we aren't good enough to carry one in our starting 11
Buckley: Class, but we knew he had history with injuries (BIG fee)
Vicente: Massive injury history
Hoskins: fair enough, been unlucky with him
CMS: HUGE fee, quality player, but playing to the complete opposite of his strengths.

Truth is, he had BIG money to spend (top 4 in the league spend-wise) and we haven't really got a lot for it. This isn't me being anti Poyet, its facts.

We need at least one controlling and energetic forward playing central midfielder - the best example of what I think is the young lad from Palace (not him but that commanding style)
We need a left back that plays with his feet and not his hands and less one footed. Painter simply looks all at sea to me ... has done for most of the games this season
RB could be taken by Vincelot/Reyes?
A goalkeeper if Harper doesn't stay

I just don't know about Hoskins, Vicente and Reyes ... I've not seen enough of them to judge but if they're the complete package then we wouldn't need any more I don't believe but we do need to mix up our game and be a bit less predictable
