Maybe there were a lot of burnley there that day?

A slightly less impressive display of their fickleness is the rise and fall of their crowds the last time they made the premier league.

2004(championship): 17,344
2005(prem): 24,103
2006 (championship): 19,457
2007(mid table champ): 17,541

So a gain of 7,000 fans after promotion, 5,000 of whom promptly disappear once they get relegated, the remaining 2,000 holding out for another 12 months before deserting. That's not to mention their massive average so far this season of 13,424. And all this on the back of their glorious 35 consecutive years as a top two division club. How low will the attendances go if they have to suffer the ignominy of lower league football?

And we are obsessed ????

Did you get the big book of Palace facts for christmas ?

In fairness, he's probably got tired of hearing about the "plastic fans" at the Amex in response to our gates being 7,000 more than yours and done a bit of digging.

I'm not obsessed with you Nigels either, but it is funny how you all go quiet on the issue of plastic support when your support is CLEARLY amongst the more fickle support out there. 51,400 to 4,000 in 4½ years - even Chelsea fans would blush at that sort of fickleness.

I love a bit of banter but some of these Palace fans are BRAIN DEAD to keep trotting out the "plastics" mantra.

Can they please go back to calling us queers, the tampax, sleazegulls etc etc

Hmm having never mentioned "plastic" fans I shouldn't comment, or get tarred with the same brush, I was at the Burnley match, it was quality.

Well, OBVIOUSLY. So was every other part time plastic Palace twat.

Were you there against Wimbledon 5 years later, or had you gone shopping / to Stamford Bridge, with the other missing 47,000?

You misunderstand - you haven't ATTRACTED all the fickle fans. You just LOST them all.

Now that is f***ing funny. I bet you were still chuckling away to yourself as you typed that?

I find it funny that you have all these PLASTIC supporters. You Weeds better be careful when Leeds come down. You might get caught in between the fighting with the Man Ure fans in the home end.

I'll BET he was at the Burnley game but not the Wimbledon one.

I wish I'd been at the Wimbledon game - Palace got dicked 5-0 at home. It's almost a pity there weren't more mugs there to see - they are just too plastic I'm afraid. :lolol:
