Sky go to adverts just before Kick Off, so it needs to be timed right with the cards/balloons when we are sure the cameras are on us.

Needs the on-pitch PA guy to co-ordinate but I'm sure someone on here has thought that through and has an in.

The thought of 20K fans singing you'll never walk alone sent goose bumps up my spine

that's why I'd suggested one potential song for the evening (as sung on North Stand during last Goldstone games) be You'll Never Walk Alone - perfect words for occassion but keeps a positive atmosphere for the players - along with all our usual Albion songs

I like that idea

I haven't read the whole thread so not sure if it's already been suggested, but is anyone going to flyer/poster the Liverpool game so that non internet people know what's going on?

That is definitely the plan. It makes sense to do the Liverpool game anyway as it gives people warning.

Whatever you do don't read any of the Leeds forums. I can understand their siege mentality in a way and they have every right to feel that the world is against them. They have certainly been disliked and disrespected for a great many years. Still it's a shame that when they have an opportunity to gain a few plusses they scorn it so bitterly. Hopefully their refusal to participate will be passive on the night.

Aren't we aiming for a visual impact for the cameras with all the green stuff and flags to make an impact in the media.

When the game starts, we'll be singing the Albion on to the 3 points.

Quite, we'd think you were a bit odd if you did anything less.

Mouldy boots, your team were not distracted from playing in a 2nd rate regional athletics venue all last season and are still on the crest of a wave from beinbg at the Amex. With the added spice of Nooney and Barnes being former greens who still keep very much in touch with events at their former home I can't see them deciding to take their eye off the ball just because there are a few balloons and a different colour in the stands.

You'll be fine, when the whistle blows it's game on.

Bit harsh. They're going green with envy, that's all. :jester:

I hope I haven't overstepped the mark here.

Earlier somebody suggested contacting Aviva given their association with the Green Army advert. They suggested enquiring whether Aviva could provide the green card to hold up before the game. Since Bozza has now sorted this himseld, I thought it was worthwhile seeing whether they could provide green balloons or something else for use at the Leeds or Liverpool games.

Anyway, I doubt anything will come of it but thought it worth a try.

Pursuing it from a slighlt different angle might be fruitful. Aviva surely wont want to miss out on a marketing opportunity by showing the "Green Army" advert on Sky before , half time and after the matches on the 21st and 23rd.

I had an idea to help raise PAFC's profile during our televised games. I've been a STH for over 20 years, I remember Fans United and Plymouth's role in that and I would like to return the favour. I'll be going on 24 September, but thought we should try and take advantage of our televised games to increase coverage of their plight.

At the least, I feel we should have banners placed around the ground, in support of PAFC, they could line the entire West Stand tiers and the back of the North Stand etc during both the televised games.

What about a 'Green' day on Friday 23 September? Everyone could wear green, bring green flags if possible, sing songs for Plymouth, anything that will be noticed on TV, perhaps even Leeds would participate in this. As it is the day before Fans Reunited, it will highlight the event too.

Someone else will probably have better ideas than these, but I just feel that I want to do something more to help....

Just spotted this tweet sent to Sky please promote @FansReunited to help save @plymouth_argyle alot of fans across the country are wearing green for their games! - see what you started :)

Wow, it's incredible how the whole thing has taken off. I've had messages from people in Canada, USA & Japan saying they will wear green on Saturday & the 23rd, as well as people across Europe. Can't believe this has swept across the World, npower league has tweeted it, several journos have said they will mention it, truly overwhelmed by the support this has gotten!

Great effort - stick with it!
Some brilliant fans have committed to blowing up 1,000 balloons on my behalf to make up for my inability to get to the game (bad fan). Unfortunately committments mean I won't even be able to watch :(
Not sure they realise how long it will take though!

And I'm buying four hundred for the north stand which the NSK will be helping me blow up others can help us if they like!

Just be careful: it is possible to over-do it with balloons, as I found out with all those thousands up at Villa a couple of years back!

A lot of people just aren't interested.
