Seriously don't understand why anyone would want to be associated with something that is so obviously St Pauli, and more importantly, Palace.

What's gonna happen when we play them? a big love in with all fans singing together?

This obsession with 'stealing' whatever is on youtube is getting silly now. Why can't WE create something for once?

Most songs football fans sing have been inspired from elsewhere, Marching down the Shoreham road is a interpretation of a NUFC song for example not even our SEAGULLS! OR ALBION are 'original'.

Many many more, just because they're old it doesn't mean they're ours or not copied.

Alot of people say that and then offer nothing, If they moaned on keyboards less and sung more then the songs would catch on.

A famous author whose name I've forgotten said football songs are brilliant, they're almost a type of folk as folk music makes songs getting inspirational from other songs.

f*** pa**ce and their nigels, loads of clubs sing that tune. They've nicked the St Pauli song word for word and weren't even the first one to do it, I've heard Blackpool do it much better than the scum can manage.

The version we were doing is better than the St Pauli one because "Sussex by the sea" fits the tune perpectly.

Not sure it's just St. Pauli in Germany (though I've been to the Millerntor quite a few times, and have heard it there), I'm sure I've heard it elsewhere over there too.

St. Pauli are quite divisive on a forum like this where we have people from different political views, but with Atilla and others (including me, I've been going over to the Millerntor occasionally for nearly 20 years), there are some genuine links to them with us.

At the same time, this is why GOSBTS is so important - our one bit of proper originality.

Good songs always get copied, we nabbed it off someone and it is now being sung all over the country by numerous clubs, including yourselves. Kudos for changing the lyrics - everyone else follows the 'We Love You' slant.

Meh. Roll on the new season when these tedious debates can stop.

Just looks like every comment you've said has in some way been negative about the club, short and sweet adding nothing useful or interesting and whenever Palace fans are around.

Adopting one of your rival clubs chants. You really are a bunch of clueless f***ing idiots.

Thanks for your input. Why don't you pop off back to the caravan site and write it in your diary. Go on, your dad's dick won't suck itself.

New user, fan of old!

First, half the fans of the newer generation wont and dont remember anything about the 'Palace days'; second who cares if they had some version of it before us, other clubs had it before they did and we seem to have made it better and certainly unique ("Sussex, by the sea" etc). Lastly, the wife came yesterday, rarely goes to matches and she thought the North Stand showed everyone how to do it - great atmosphere - well done :)
