Cuckoo....Cuckoo....Viney I have you down as an intelligent man, but do you really think investments and trading profits to these tin-pot dictatorship countries will reach the major of the populations ?

That's funny Jimbo, you normally call me an idiot.

Anyway I can't see where I have suggested that this. And in the current situation of course i don't and this is one of the issues that needs to be dealt with. It does state that these ideas are "completely off the top of my head" and that "the next question is a complex one".

I can't solve these problems off the top of my head. Give me a week or two at least.

why would i need to be a skint inner city mum or even a nigerian mother to be to wish opportunities on the less fortunate. i thought that was your whole rambing point to show compassion to those in need. funny how you see anyone questioning the allocation of resources as bound up in hatred and anger whereas you can serenely see through this idiocy and are quite prepared to grant favours like some medieval king.

good luck to you mate in shattering the illusions of gibbering middle england whipped up into a frenzy by silly newspapers as that is all this is about. dumb wankers probably more concerned about their new conservatory than genuine fairness and support for people under pressure in reality eh.

Meades Ball = I have 4 simple questions for you

1. What do you do for a living
2. How old are you
3. If working, how much tax did you pay in the last tax year
4. In relation to question 1. If my suspicions that you are a student are incorrect, do you work in the Private or public sector

I await your formal response

Going back to the original topic, surely the onus is upon an airline to allow, or otherwise, an individual to travel. If, as in the case under discussion, this was months prior to the confinement, then should the individual not have been returned to source given that, I imagine, certain health questions are required ?

Why are these things important?

Why are any of those things your business? Why does it matter? Why can't you take any point being made at face value rather than deciding its worth based on how much f***ing tax the poster pays? Jesus Christ.

We are now only debating whether 'utter' is being too generous a term...

I would like to debate "Why use one full stop, when you can use three?"

In reference to your earlier post I suggest you have stolen my periods!!!

You are a very bitter finger pointer and supposedly poignant opinionator of the people. Your unsavoury cusses and clear wish to undermine sort of cover what truths might lie somewhere in your snidey vitriol.
Personally, and i say this pesonally as i don't want to be an online guru correcting the world's wrongs and being treated royally, i think there are much bigger problems than the idea that an individual came to the UK and used the NHS. I don't care how much money this person needed for care and i don't care which country this person arrived from. I honestly don't mind my taxes being spent on such things and wouldn't bat an eyelid if my taxes were raised to enable us to afford such treatment. If i had a wife and she was in need of better care than the country i was on could offer, i would more than likely do what i could to get her elsewhere. That's sort of being human, i think, so villifying this person and claiming she doesn't deserve assistance is, in my mind, a rather horrid thing to do.
Yes, systems have to work and have to remain affordable and manageable, but i am unhorrified by this one. I am more against illegal wars than individual plights.

But she's cost us £200k and counting, what with legal fee then accommodation etc etc.. By the time shes settled, the husband suddenly re-appears, on-going medical attention, benefits etc, I wouldnt expect much change from 1/2 a million pounds. The Greens won our local elections on a remit of allowing us the right to protest. Clearly you sway very hard to the left as many appear to be doing as they turn up in their droves on NSC, but I'm protesting that this simply has to stop. Pay our teachers, nurses et al.

I agree, but surely instead of taking money being used to ensure the safe birth of five children we would be better off finding the money elsewhere. Large corporations, banks and politicians exploiting the country she had to leave in order to find decent health care in the first place.

Fair enough, not gonna join in.

I made my point because I'd imagine for this woman's case there are many involving Brits abroad that cost equally as much. What I didn't realise is that it was actually a discussion about immigration from certain areas of the world and full of generalisations. Therefore, I shall avoid.

Nonsense response, thats why we have travel/medical insurance. When I was ill in Tenerife, before even examining me they asked for my credit card.

If by 'there you go doing it again' you mean engaging in a rational discussion about something on an internet forum, then yes, I am. As I said, I'm no expert, but I think that even in the past 15-20 years the net migration from West Africa will be small compared with eastern Europe.

I'm clearly being somewhat successful, as you seem repeatedly to resort to personal abuse rather than engaging effectively with the discussion. Last time you threatened to set your 'technical team' on me and report me to the newspapers.

See above re personal abuse. I don't think I've resorted at any point to slagging people off. If you can't cope with debate without getting angry and being rude to people, then perhaps you shouldn't post on threads like this. That's not censorship, you're entitled to post if you want to, but as Viney pointed out if you don't like someone disagreeing with you then don't post.

To be honest, I'm tired of being accused (by you in particular) of various things just because I offer a different opinion from yours. I wish you the very best with your health issues and hope you get well soon. I think I'll now flounce off and not post on threads like this myself! Cheers. :annoyed: :flounce:

Thanks for your best thoughts at the end, even through my screaming at the keyboard, to still offer that comment at the end is actually very much appreciated. Too much time on my hands I think, Goodnight mate ! I dont get out much you see

1 - i work for a regulatory body. You know, check to make sure people are fit to practise as psychologists, physiotherapists, radiographers etc. I sometimes deal with Nigerians.
2 - i'll be 36 a week today
3 - i didn't check my tax bill for the year and i have no accountant. My council tax is about £110 a month if that helps at all.
4 - i was a student until 1998. For the last 13 years i have worked in publishing and then some not-for-profit organisations since.

If my suspicions that you are a mentalist are incorrect, then i hope these answers place me in a nice compartment in your brain that's nowhere near the stereotype or childish argument section.
