We played Chelsea last summer and they mostly played the kids.

What's to say Spurs won't do the same? Norwich is a pretty pony friendly but atleast it'll be against a strong side who we aspire to be.

Spurs have already said they will play their first team because it is basically the opening of our new home. There will be the razzamatazz of ex players and parade of legends.
Another Palace pre-season friendly is the mighty Crawley whilst our team are playing quality opposition in Portugal.

Good for you, I'll stick to remembering us beating Spurs 3-0 in the Prem. We've had plenty of star studded opposition in recent years, Chelsea twice, Inter Milan, PSV, Sampdoria...and they were all pretty boring.

that's true

they probably will , hence the Apathy from most people

never a truer word spoken.

oh dear.

So you're telling me you wouldn't want to be in Norwich's shoes right now? They're a bigger club than both Palace and Brighton and they've given plenty of teams reason to be optimistic for promotion next season.

It'll be a good friendly for us if unattractive, plus we'll get to see how good Elliott Bennett really is...

Not as hilarious as Murray coming to Palace! :bigwave:

I'm guessing my sarcasm didn't come across then? I actually think Norwich is a pretty good friendly. Probably as big as they get without playing the kids and that. Not too bothered about Murray, Greer will cut him in half next season anyway.

Quite right - I see no good reason why we can't emulate Norwich and get straight in the Prem after coming up from League One. As for Palace then Norwich were your only away win - so it's another relegation battle for you again.
