So you're telling me you wouldn't want to be in Norwich's shoes right now? They're a bigger club than both Palace and Brighton and they've given plenty of teams reason to be optimistic for promotion next season.

It'll be a good friendly for us if unattractive, plus we'll get to see how good Elliott Bennett really is...

No your right, we would like to be in Norwichs shoes right now and I bet you wish you could be in ours.........

All talk, no substance you lot. A new stadium doesn't guarantee success, let's see how your players handle the pressure playing infront of 20,000 oh so expectant "Brighton" fans.

my quote doesnt for one moment suggest I am expecting success.......it simply means that i sense some envy from Palarse fans I have spoken to towards Brighton. I am not blinkered or silly, mid table is ALL that I am expecting no more, there are a lot of bigger clubs than us in this league, BUT saying that, as a fan of Palarse, you must look at where Brighton are going, Spanking new SOLD OUT stadium, great up and coming manager, no debt, a great young forward thinking chairman, a budget of depending on you listen too of anything up to £10m and basically a very bright future. What have you got to look forward too? The ground? NO, The team? Based upon last few seasons, not good enough? The support? Dwindling big time? Debt? Always? Threat of Administration? Always there........is there positives? Yes you have some cracking cheerleaders that wouldnt go a miss in a Brighton Shirt...but other than that? I cant name any....

Does it really matter who plays who in pre-season?

Yes, it's good to play teams in the upper ends of football, i.e Man Utd, Chelsea, Tottenham etc, but really what do you gain from it if you end up getting beat 4 or 5-0? Absolutely nothing.

Pre-season is about preparing yourself for the season ahead, Norwich will be a calibre of opposition as to what we will regularly play in the new season so will give us a good indication as to where we are at.

Haha, resorting to taking the piss out of our friendly fixtures?!

God, desperation really is rife on the south coast.

I'd much rather play Norwich than another season of Chelsea/Fulham/Spurs reserves. It will give our team a far more realistic challenge less than 2 weeks before the real kick-off.

Sadly, I agree with this. I can't believe I'm agreeing with a palarse fan. I feel sick!!
