Honestly - if they offer double the money why wouldn't he want to go ... footballers life is short - Bennett is a great player for us and we should want the best for him. I don't want him to go but believe we have enough talent in depth to get on with it....

Hmmm. First post.

Hello Elliott!

Stick around there's a good chap....

No. I want what's best for my football club, and that involves keeping Bennett here.

His Brighton contract can be renegotiated if he's unhappy with the wages...nothing is set in stone. Norwich and all the rest can do one.

we are not a one man team

Exactly, he is a great player but we have several great players & a scouting set up that could lead to furthering the number of great players we have. I do not foresee Elliott Bennett going anywhere just yet as we are on a journey on which he is a happy & willing participant.

Like I said in the other thread, if they offer us £500,000+ for Elliott, then I don't think we'll turn that kind of offer down. But he has just signed an new contract till 2014, so why should he leave!

All about opinions Basil, but i would hope Tony Bloom would tell them to do one for that sort of money. We are talking possibly our best player here! I know strikers go for more but If Craig Macail Smith and Charlie Austin are reportedly worth 1.5 to 2 million, then so is Elliott, he is THAT important to us, he can play on either wing, through the middle or at full back. Do you really think we can replace that kind of player with one good enough to play in the Championship for £500k???

And if his assists fire Norwich to promotion then thats worth £40 million to them.

I said £500k +. So I didn't put a estimated figure on Elliott head, but if he wants to go we can't stand in his way. To me I don't think he will go anywhere, he loves it down here and we're finally seeing the best of him, and he has been superb this season so far and definitely a key to where we're at the moment.

I'm not worried one bit about all this speculation on our players being watched by scouts.

Let them watch and STEW in their jealousy in the way we play.

It's about time we all developed some good old honest arrogance about us. We are one of the most attractive clubs outside of the premiership to play for, we play football how it's meant to be played.

Southampton? Who the f*** are they anyway.. PAH! Watch how they try in complete and utter vain to hold on to our coat tails as we dominate this league and go up as well deserved champions. Any player that wants to leave now needs their head examined.

We're better than most of the clubs in the Championship too. They can all do one as well.

It's time for The Albion to make the charge to where we truly deserve to be.

I'm excited and I'll reiterate...

There is no need to worry... not one bit.

well said mate lets do a double promotion lol

£500k+ means you'd take £500k as a minimum you plum. He's worth more than double that to us. Thank f*** you aren't making any decisions.

Would be out of order to sign a new contract in october and then ask to leave in january. So i can only assume he hasn't asked to leave and is thus going nowhere unless 2m+ is offered.

I always think you make sensible posts Kalimantan, but in this case Ithink you are wrong.

He signed a long contract in November. But you say it would be out of order if he then asked for a move in January (presumably because the package and prospects are better). But if TB was offered enoughmoney (£2m for example) we'd sell him in a second. It has to work both ways. If he gets a great offer you can't blame him for wanting to go - if we get a great offer for him, he can't blame us for selling him. That's the way it is.

Hope he doesn't go - but Norwich need to strengthen to help their promotion push so I think they will be tenatious. I am sure I read somewhere a couple of days ago that he (Elliott) things it's a good opportunity with the chnace of being in the Prem next season - he seemed keen to give it a go. But can't find the reference.

It's the opening post of this thread TRHK :)

That is my only concern because left to the club I believe we will say no. It is only if Elliott says he wants a move that he will be leaving us.
