Dear all

I so hope my source is wrong  but I did raise this on the board (and the Phone -In at the weekend) again laughed down by Mike and Richie just after Ray Wilkins got the heave-ho. I mentioned at the time both in posting here and on the radio my understanding was that Chelsea were touting our Gus as assistant manager.

Once again, our intrepid reporter Andy Naylor has reported nothing but anyone listening to 5 live tonight would have heard Gus was being pressed on this. Our man Gus's response wasn't convincing if you ask me and a couple of calls have been duly made by myself and I'm afraid to say by the end of the week the deal will be done. In all fairness to The Argus, it was stated in the 2 day interview last week with our chairman that he wouldnt stand in his way if a Premiership club came in

Official announcement I believe will take place this coming Thursday morning (my contacts in SW London have also confirmed) !!!!!

It's a load of bollocks. Gus is happy being numero uno now, thank you very glad, so tell your dodgy sauce to "fuckin' do one".

Sorry, you seemed to skip this bit. What was his response, for those who didn't hear it?

I would think it would be a backwards move for him to go to Chelsea as no 2 and also a silly move to even go as no 1 as there is only one way they can go. Forgot about the money but I shouldnt think that on that front he needs to work again anyway.

Exactly, as PeterWard put it, why would he want to go to Chelsea as AM. That's the question I rightfully put on the radio phone in, what will his decision be based on, his head (money) or more hopefully his heart (desire to prove himself as his own man going places with a club going places). I cant see it myself but when has anyone in football been honest.

Problem I'm afraid though is that my sources are solid

As much as I want to say this is bollocks it would not surprise me in the slightest if it was to happen :(

With the greatest respect to Jimbo.GRFC, who the f**k are these contacts, seeing as the BBC also said they were not going to appoint Gus or Zola?

Nothing would suprise me either, but i do think and hope this is bullshit

Why would Gus get a player in "this week" if he's going to f**k off on thursday?

Like I said in my previous post, I so hope this is wrong, may I remind you of the KLL post re ankle. I'm sure you'll understand I cant disclose my sources but as I have stated before I always double check before posting, This player he is supposed to be getting in this week, are you basing this on Andy Naylors reports......if so then I'll think you'll find he's clutching at straws

More from a direct quote from Gus

"The problem for us is that we know how important Kazenga is for us.

"We are going to move very quickly. We need a player this week. We need to cover that position."

No, I have the seagulls world video thing on the official website and Gus actually said it himself. "we need a player in this week".

Naylor is a lazy journalist that belatedly copies others, he doesn't do scoops.

Have a look at first post in this thread Jimmy.GRFC

If you check back through the posts you will note I broke the severity of KLL's injury on Sunday. A whole 2 days before our local rag. If your not happy with my posts then please feel free to skip to the next one. Only trying to give you an insight to the info I'm privy to. I can stop from now on if you want

Massive backward step if true and I don't believe Gus is so lacking in ambition and believe to take it, we'll see,

simply dont see its going to happen and if "sources" are saying so its probably to wind you up or revel the source of leaks.

he's done assistant. he's done assistant at a premiership club. he's had one year of managment which is still very much a project in progress. why leave?

i'd rather you did stop, one lucky (and frankly obvious) success with Lua Lua does not really make you suddenly deep throat.

hmm, loads of articles saying Gus isn't interested in going to chelsea and 1 nsc poster who has a very low post count saying that he is going to leave... Who to believe?

I really hope this info is inaccurate. :(

But, Gus was missing from training towards the end of last week, just after Wilkins got the push.

Interview? Feeling unwell?

I'd like to feel this is all hogwash, but Jimbo has been accurate before. :(
